The good old days (1999/2000)

I just came across the programme from the Champions Dinner for Charlton's 1999/2000 First Division championship season .
The players that received medals (playing at least 25% of the matches) included:
Forwards: Andy Hunt, Clive Mendonca, Martin Pringle, Mathias Svensson.
Midfielders: Keith Jones, Mark Kinsella, Shaun Newton, Scott Parker, John Robinson, John Salarko, Graham Stuart.
Defenders: Anthony Barness, Steve Brown, Chris Powell, Richard Rufus, Greg Shields, Andy Todd, Eddie Youds.
Keeper: Dean Kiely.
Manager Alan Curbishley; assistant manager Keith Peacock; first team coach Mervyn Day.
Compare that to this year's squad! Could anyone from this year's squad get into that team?

If they tried, Andy Todd would beat them up...0 -

Moo2, Youga, McLeod and Semedo.
(Just joshing).
Maybe Jon Fortune - perhaps giving Steady Eddie, Brownie and Todd a tad of pressure in central defence to play alongside His Holiness The Roof? But debatable at best.....0 -
I'd prefer Bailey to Jonah.0

I reckon the Todorov of old could?0

I don't think our squad isn't as bad as people say it is, obvious it doesn't compare to 99/00 but it certainally isn't the worse in the league. Our problem this season lie elsewhere.0

I wouldnt swap one player.
Best season ever, didnt miss one game home or away, apart from the first 10 minutes at Grimsby.0 -
I'd prefer Bailey to Jonah.

In my opinion Keith Jones was a very underated player who struck up a fantastic midfield partnership with Kinsella.0
