    Stevenson is a centre back by trade, and we've used Oshilaja in midfield more than defence in recent games, even starting Pratley at centre back and Deji ahead of him at the base of the midfield

    Dempsey is definitely cup tied as played for Dulwich against Carlisle

    Maloney hasnt played in either of Newport's cup games

    Fair play on Stevenson, but definitely think you go with senior cb's despite Deji having played in midfield, that's due to a lack of midfield options.

    Will Ledley still be with us? If he does not play this game I am really going to wonder why we signed him (unless he is doing coaching stuff behind the scenes) .

    I can see it now. The youngsters beat West Brom 1-0 then we get chucked out for fielding an ineligible player.

    Nonsense, it's the perfect opportunity for him to get a bit of game time. Even if we played our best team anyway it's still a team of youngsters.

    A lot of loanees play a couple of ganes for the U-23s to get up to speed. This is about the equivalent.

    He’s only 21 himself. 

    And he should be motivated to show what he can do for his new boss and teammates. 

    His confidence is low because Preston have left him on the bench since October. I would have thought Bowyer putting him straight into our starting 11 this weekend would boost confidence.
