Bowyer interrupts....
"This won’t happen overnight. It takes time. You can’t just jump, it’s not possible. We’ve done well to get to this situation. It’s goign to take time. You’re trying to rebuild something that was broken for a long time. The most important thing is to come together to move gradually, not too much too quickly."

PL is the aim but what happens if relegated?
"Everyone aims for the Premier League but that’s why I said the decisions I make are for the long-term stability of the club. If we got relegated, that’s part of football - there have to be contingency plans in place for all situation. We’re not going to start spending millions on players because that’s not sustainable. There needs to be provisions. I honestly believe under Lee we will not be relegated. We’re doing our best to keep key players - Lyle is not for sale, even if he doesn’t sign a new deal he’s here until the end of the season."

So they'll listen to offers but he's not for sale? Is that a little conflicting?

Bowyer: pleased to be able to focus on just the team now?
"My job is to win games. I’ve tried to distance myself from the off-field stuff. Having the chairman here puts a smile on my face because I can see the club moving forwad and I don’t have to worry about off the field like I’ve had. I can concentrate on the players and results."

Gallen: what's the recruitment strategy now with so many injuries?
"We’re trying to bring some players in. We’ve been active, bids in for three players in past few days. Permanent signings. We’re not daft but we’re not thinking about getting lads in to stop us getting relegated. The job now until the end of the window is to strengthen even more with players coming back from injury. We’re working on it. It’s not that easy. Not loads happening right now. There’s a flurry at the start and were close to signing a player a few days. I’ll be honest it feels like ten targets to get three players. I won’t tell you now there will be three lads in next week but there are areas we want to strengthen."

JFC, Jonny and Hemed back on the bench this Saturday, so it will be Davison up top?

I assume that once LB signs his contract, all the backroom team will naturally follow?

Unless someone makes him a Godfather offer I suspect, one he can't refuseDoctorCharlton said:So they'll listen to offers but he's not for sale? Is that a little conflicting?0 -
Think it's more if a silly offer comes in then they'll have to think about it, which is understandable.DoctorCharlton said:So they'll listen to offers but he's not for sale? Is that a little conflicting?8 -

Matt, What is the largest animal that you think you could catch if it was shot at you from a cannon?
"wow, that's not something that can really be answered here and now, it probably needs it's own platform for discussion."54 -
Southall: how important to grow financially off the field?
"We need to focus on increasing revenue streams across the board. A lot of fans stayed away due to the previous owners. It’s not luring them back, they should want to come back. We took 38k to Wembley, the support is massive. We should be filling this stadium week-in, week-out. We will get back up that league. The fans have welcomed us and we will invest into the club. We need to increase revenue before increasing costs. That’s sustainable, sensible."

Bowyer: what contract would you like?
"A ten-year contract, unlimited budget.... no, seriously, it’s something we need to finalise. I’ve not seen the offer been put across today. I want to be here and help the club move forward. That’s where I stand on that. We’ve had positive conversations and we came out of that room and I’m thinking ‘here we go’. I drove somewhere last night to meet a player and the chairman made that happen."

The Chairman made it happen... Wonder if it was a "Posh" venue

Bowyer: what do you mean when said earlier needs to be gradual steps?
"West Ham was one, went crazy with money and ended up in trouble. Birmignham was the same. And when I was at Leeds money was being thrown around left, right and centre. It’s a stepping stone. You can’t take gambles because a lot of people’s lives are at risk. I want the best players and keep them to help me win games but I understand I need to do that to bring fans back. Before I came in there was 10,000, by the end of last season there was 27,000. We’re giving our all because we all care about this club."

They’ve offered Bow a five year deal ... bloody hell14
-
Southall: how long is Bowyer's deal that has been offered?
"Our intention was a long-term strategy. It’s a five-year deal that gives him an opportunity to grow with us and build with us."
