Excellent performance, such a contrast from Saturday, everyone run their guts out. Naby was a monster and that cross was football porn. Travelling fans excellent as usual.

    Against the top 5

    WBA: draw, draw
    Leeds: win
    Fulham: draw, draw
    Brentford: win
    Forest draw, win

    8 games, 0 losses, 14 points
If only you could pick us up and put us in the play-offs, we’d probably go up!
14-points behind; 42-points still to play for... Beware of the form team in the Play-Offs, not to mention the one that makes the late surge!!

It looks like its us and wigan, but if the game in hand for the boys below us result in loses it mixes it up again... could be a topsy turvy finish to the season, but that is HUGE win and will give everyone at the club big confidence going into the run in.

A win in front of a big crowd on Saturday and we could even start believing(dangrous).

Still love this team for all their flaws.

    Just brilliant.

Sarr and Taylor superb. Hemed put in a shift and Oz looked tricky. Davis also had plenty of Championship experience out there carrying a yellow card.

But MOtM for me, Adam Matthews. Sign him up Matt Southall. Sign him up.
Couldn't agree more. He was outstanding.

    Lockyer and Davis superb also.

Already mentioned Sarr but Matthews was also excellent, Pearce and Lockyer solid.
Mention to Purrington who I thought did very well and played better than Doughty.
Fantastic save by Dillon, decisive and some lovely time wasting.
    Davis and Cullen, great shifts.
Oztumer some classy moments and always nipping at them.
Taylor great finish and didn't stop running.
Hemed tried very hard, some great touches but also quite wasteful second half.
McGeady, good feet and tracked back.
    Smith, ran around.
  • Sarr was very, very good tonight but Taylor was fckin immense, would love to know his stats after that 2nd half.

    Taylor
    Sarr
    Matthews

    In that order tonight

    Quality from everyone tho

    Fantastic.
I was very sceptical after Stoke.
Well done lads and even more praise for the 805’ who silenced 27000.
I even heard the sound of an away tunnel jump !

Bowyer showed he has some balls then decided to cut them off when he put on Smith for Hemed and replacing Doughty earlier. Fortunately Forest lacked quality but we were inviting them on us too much and the end. Having said that, we were excellent for most of the game and what a great illustration of how actually trying to pose opponents defensive issues actually takes pressure off your defence as the ball stops keep coming back.

Great game from Naby Sarr. He is key to playing this formation and it is our best formation with the players we have got at the moment.
  • Sarr was fantastic today. Taylor didnt stop chasing up front. He kept urging Hemed forward to close down.... gave up and chased it down himself. Felt sorry for him. Can only assume Hemed was sticking to instructions. Great win.

Wow, just when we were getting all gloomy they’ve only gone and pulled one out of the bag!
Star quality from Naby, one of his best games ever.
Oztumer, quality. Hemed had a great first half. Taylor, a real handful, ran his socks off, and a great finish from Naby’s worldie of a cross. Matthews made up for last week, and more. Doughty caused mayhem on the left.
Wigan one point, Barnsley no points, Charlton three. Yessss!

Yup. And that makes the decision for Gallagher to go there look even more strange.
  • I know I've just laughed at the form guide but oh look :)

You also forget that save from Phillips to stop the Sarr OG. Straight after we scored. Brilliant keeper. Assured all night.

    Best we’ve had since Deano.
    I certainly think so

Tomorrow Hudds have got Cardiff (2 wins, 3 draws in last 5) and Stoke have Preston (3 wins 2 draws).  It could be any of us and Wigan.

Well done chaps, have to say that I thought that Nabby chap did exceedingly well.

That guy Bows seems to know a thing or two. Sort of chap that you need on your side.

I think that young bounder Taylor played a blinder and should sign up ASAP.

Heard the Forest manager earlier saying they shouldn't underestimate any opponents and should respect Charlton.
Then went and done the complete opposite!

Anyhow Sarr was immense. Just wish he was consistent.

Thought Davis looked really comfortable. A kind of Pratley upgrade.
    Matthews also did well.

    Lyle ran and ran.

    I just can't warm to
Hamed. Holds the ball up well but terrible in front of goal. On a completely Different wavelength to Taylor.

A real professional job all round. Well done Bows.

Oh. And I had a nicker on 0-1 Taylor to score first.
  • Almost a perfect night. Great display.
  • Come on be honest......after Saturday who saw that coming?

    Never in any doubt.

I thought Forest would take it easy against us, with our game sandwiched between Leeds & WBA.
So they leave out their 2 strikers plus a few others and are unsurprisingly not very good.

Who cares, we did enough to win and held on for more than an hour to keep a clean sheet.

A special mention to Naby who had a very good game & I have to say credit where it is due.

Great night for our great fans. We were superb all over the pitch. How many miles did Lyle run tonight? We've got to keep him at all costs. As for Naby it's all been said already, but if he played like that every game he would be in the Premier League.
