With Richard Murray and Michael Grade on the board, they must have enough contacts to get this onto our TV screens. The rights could even make Murray a bit more minty.

Imagine X factor meets football to find a new manager for Charlton.

Candidates could be out of work managers (mentored by Curbs), ex CAFC players (mentored by Chrissie Powell - we all know he wants to be on reality TV), male CAFC fans (mentored by Cheryl Cole, I imagine) and female CAFC fans (mentored by Paul Mortimer, of course).

They have to go through a series of weekly test and challenges - I'm sure we can think of plenty. Last person standing wins - the final task could be the public negotiation of the contract....

There's plenty of time to get it done for the start of next season.

The only thing I can't quite work out is how to stop the Millsmall and Palarse fans joining in the voting...but even then, it could hardly be much worse, could it?

wouldn't be any worse than the club destroying ineptitude being shown by Pardewkinson!

Great idea but I can see one other problem other than Palace/Millwall fans voting.

    Charlton fans complaining non-stop about the cost of calls/how they couldn't get thru/etc/etc ; - )
