Won't sign him, we only sign players unless we can loan them first.

Isn't he the one who donates a stack of his wages to a church or something?

I'll bet they are dancing in the streets tonight....

I feel genuinely sorry for these footballers in their mid-30s whose careers have come off the rails and are having to hawk themselves around in reserve games for crap teams, desperately hoping to make sufficient impression on some assistant manager on the touch-line to eke out another short-term contract for a month , three months, one last season before they have to face the tough truth of the real world, in which retraining or even unemployment awaits.

I really, truly feel for them. It must be horrible and demeaning and not a little bit desperate. But that said, I have to be a little bit harsh here and add that I really do not want them at my club!!!

Blimey. Can remember when we first played against him (Villa Park?) and he got a 'ooooooooooooh' when his name was announced.

Seems like an age ago now

De La Cruz has already been on trial at Watford this season and wasn't good enough. Why should he be good enough for us?.

To be honest far more noteworthy is the fact that Dickson isn't in the squad.

    Gillingham?. A.N Other?.

As you know, I invariably try to find the good in a situation.
Maybe, just maybe against Sheff Utd, Dicko is finally going to start?

Moo2 is not playing for the stiffs either.

Wahey try another tempremental full back, ahem winger who can't defend. He had pace now he doesn't. Never had height always unreliable, not even seen as a banker in the Scottish Premier League.

Must be the boy for us.

Um other side to the coin we have 1 right back and 1 till the end of the month.
We have beeen short of bodies at the back with only 2 centre halfs for the last month. We need bodies!!
If we have to fill the squad with very average players just so we can put more towards the striker we so desperately need then so be it. not ideal but were moaning and he aint even signed!!

He was a decent player at Hibs and Villa, but at 34, it's just another parky fork up.

Don't Reading fans call him 'Useless de la Cruz' .......?

Not necessarily my opinion, as I can't recall seeing him play.

Walsall In Talks With Charlton? by DiddyP on Mon Jan 19, 2009 6:51 pm

Apparently Charlton will sign Ishmel Demontagnac this week and I been told two stories and I don't know what truth they are but here they are (someone might tell me which ones true or if they both bull)...

    1. We have been offered a 40% sell on clause with it been reduced by 5% each year he is at Charlton (simular to the Ricketts deal when he left for Bolton Wanderers)?

    2. We will appoint Mark Kinsella as assistant to Alan Buckley and Ishmel will be the compenstation in that deal?

Especially as Chris Hutchings is their new manager.

sounds like this would come under chappells matrix system. Kinsella for a player.

  • why would we offer any money for a player who has had his contract terminated by a club.

The player may have been sacked by Walsall.
But that club still hold his registration.

As with any transfer, it's not so much the player that is bought, it's his registration.
