I liked this before the Man U game tonight from Nigel Clough on the difference between Derby County's performance v QPR last Sat and the higher standards he was accustomed to in the Blue Square:

"The lads at Burton were better at doing certain things. No player in the lower leagues would have made those basic mistakes on Saturday. I have been in a state of shock for the last 48 hours."

LOL...

  • He'll be in a coma after he sees our lot then.
  • Christ, he sound a right chip off the old block.....

He needs to be careful though, his old man only really got away with his more outrageous stuff once he had put some trophies in the cabinet.

The Leeds players certainly did not take kindly to Clough Snr telling them all at their first ever team meeting, "Whatever medals you've won you might as well chuck them in the bin because you did not win them fairly, you cheated."

Didn't go down all that well with Messrs. Hunter, Giles,Bremner and Clarke.

He may be right though they just do stuff slower than it happens in the league.
