    Basically a St George’s day when an Englishman's home is his castle and he’s at home with the drawbridge raised to keep outsiders away

    There are countless beautiful people and places in England. 
    On a day like today I wish I were walking through Lydford Gorge, or schlepping around Brighton. 
    Any other English lazy sunny day recommendations?

    1st St.Georges day I can remember when I can't celebrate with a pint or three down the pub.

    Will have to make up for it at a later date.
    In the meantime happy St.Georges day to all and stay safe.

    A walk around Rydal Water ending up by Rydal Mount and gazing on the daffodils in Dora's Field - followed by a couple of pints in The Badger Bar.

    I'd settle for that on a beautiful St Georges Day like this. Maybe next year.

    Agreed, but I think that down to Guiness having excellent marketing campaigns to help it.
