Star Wars is dead. Disney killed it. Now they're just humping the corpse to squelch the last few remaining dollars out of it.

Tried it for about 5 minutes. Now I'm watching Return of the Jedi instead.

Rogue One is a fantastic film, that alone buys Disney huge credit. The Mandalorian is great fun, the kids focused stuff is super popular so be it Rebels, Resistance, the later Clone Wars stuff, and the Lego series.

Clone Wars and Mandalorian are somewhat protected from the malign, incompetent and creatively bankrupt influence of Kathleen Kennedy and her Star Wars story group that's chock full of radical 3rd wave feminists. They are Dave Filoni run projects and he knows Star Wars inside out. I'll check them both out on a free Disney + trial
The Obi Wan series was written, then all the scripts were scrapped because Kathleen Kennedy didn't like them so who knows what that's going to look like after she's done with. The Old Republic stuff they just announced looks awful. They couldn't even get a decent artist for the character illustrations, they look like half-arsed tumblr fan art.
Rogue One was OK, but really it was a film that was saved from disaster at the last minute and Jyn Erso is a terribly blank and dull protagonist. Solo was another disaster that they were unable to save and the unremitting cack that was The Last Jedi turned off droves of Star Wars fans from bothering their arse to go see it. The Rise of Skywalker is the pinnacle of Kennedy's totally clueless approach to Star Wars. Thanks to her 'creative input' the 'Skywalker saga' ends with every last member of the Skywalker family dead and an impostor Palpatine, descendant of the evil emperor, stealing the Skywalker's name, home, lightsabre and all. How's that for a Happy ending?!
I'm with you on JJ. Him and his Bad Robot cronies have screwed Star Wars, Star Trek and now he's on his way to screw DC superhero movies. Steven Spielberg has a lot to answer for after allowing hacks like Kennedy and Abrams to ride his coat tails in to jobs they don't deserve and don't have the talent for.0 - Sponsored links:

Don't disagree with much of that although obviously I loved TLJ, I think Rise of Skywalker highlights that Johnson made the right calls. But there's no real point getting into that all over again. I also like all three Star Trek films, but that's probably because I don't really care about what the hardcore fans wanted to see. Bad Robot can and do make good stuff. I just wish JJ would let someone else write his movies.0

I've resigned myself to the fact that we'll have to agree to disagree on TLJ. To each their own.
Coming from my point of view though, TLJ is why Rise of Skywalker is a complete dog's breakfast. Rian Johnson killed every story lead and smashed every mystery box that JJ gave him, leaving a pile of dead ends and a seething angry fanbase to placate. That's why it's full of fan service, a recycled resurrected villain that totally negates the Luke/Vader redemption story and tons and tons of 'stuff' going on at 1,000mph so we don't notice how none of it makes any narrative sense.
I take it you haven't seen the latest TV Star Trek Discovery or Star Trek Picard shows then? Lucky you...0
