    Possibly, but the player is employing the agent to represent them therefore should pay the agent themselves. 

    Why should a club pay the player then pay an agent, who In most cases will get the best deal for their client.

    If players pay the agents their wage demands would just increase to cover it. 
    The majority of players do pay their agents, usually around 5-10% of what they earn.

    Agents fees are nothing compared to my vet bill this week, but yes I simply can't understand how lower league clubs pay so much.
