    Netherlands government has just announced that fans will be allowed in to football stadiums from 1st September, the 1.5 metre rules must be observed and singing and chanting will be banned.

    We can just open the west stand then if we want to inforce that.

    Premiership have opened discussion with government to bring fans back to stadiums. If theatres open I think grounds will as well. More dangerous inside as well. 

    Gillingham will have one of the safest away ends!

    No difference to normal in the West Stand then  :D

    All the scabs outing themselves as season ticket renewers ;). I jest, I imagine it's be quite a surreal experience and one to look back on in years to come.

    i wonder if they will check the database and allow those that attended the lowest attended game  (Fulham U23s 674 Charlton fans) be the test subjects.......

    I just hope Southall and Elliott are not behind these invites. Those of you selected make sure you get shown to a seat. If you are ushered into a room with no windows be afraid

    If it is possible, it could be a good way of getting income to a club. I would imagine it would ensure we sold 7k season tickets. If I was running the club I would be taking deposits from fans, returnable if the policy at the time does not allow people in. Season tickets could be issued as a bar code like single tickets to cut costs.

    Cambridge United are staging the first EFL 'Test Event' next Saturday against Carlisle. According to a BBC report, they are allowing 2,500 supporters in - https://www.cambridge-united.co.uk/news/2020/september/st-update-carlisle/
    There is a game of sorts at the Abbey Stadium before that on Tuesday against Fulham Under 23s in the ridiculous EFL Trophy, where the capacity is 1,000 (fat chance of getting anywhere near that !).

    No further news yet of whether any of our supporters will be allowed back into the Doncaster game on 19 September. Richard Cawley has previously reported that it was expected that between 500 and 1,000 would be allowed into the first match, ahead of an increased capacity of 6,000 to 8,000 supporters when restrictions are (hopefully) eased at the beginning of October. It's all a bit of a moving feast, so maybe the capacity for the Doncaster game will be increased given the size of The Valley.

    In the meantime, Harlequins just kicking off the first Rugby Union game with supporters present since lockdown in March. The capacity of The Stoop is 14,500 and, whilst the government approved test event allows up to 4,000 spectators,  3,500 socially-distanced spectators will be allowed into the ground, comprising approximately 3,000 Harlequins season ticket holders and around 500 staff, players, media (including BT Sport) and operational personnel . All ticket holders have had to complete a health survey in advance and there are temperature checks on arrival
