We do need to learn from this. We tried to ball wide to stop them hitting to the short side but gave them 15 runs doing so when they only gave us 5 doing that.
And we should be 4/4 too!1 -
I thought Ben Brown, the Sussex captain, was excellent as co-commentator. I suspect when he retires a media job will await.2

I've seen a couple of instances this season in Saturday games where teams have gone mad at an opposing batsman who has, in their opinion, nicked it, not walked and the umpire hasn't given it either. And yet those very same players are happy to claim catches when they know that the batsman hasn't hit it - with leg side wides, it's become an habitual act to claim a catch when the ball goes down that channel.
They are both forms of cheating but the batsman who didn't walk will still be getting stick during, after and even the next time the teams meet!0 -
