Big Bowyer Interview from SLP

Comments

  • Good to see Adam Matthews is still training with us

Sounds like he's one of the signings ready to go provided he doesn't get interest elsewhere

Might need to send Tracey over to give him a hug.
  • I think this is LB saying to TS ‘when you take over don’t expect me to keep performing miracles on a shoestring. Support me by spending or I’m off’.

I don’t blame Bowyer for this, I hope he gets the funding he richly deserves.

And yet he’s still here. He wants this to work out as much as we do. Plenty of other managers would have gone by now.
  • He’s got one of the big range rovers for his troubles

He’s obviously not had an offer that’s suited him
  • Rich Cawley has said one of the signings is a permanent one and will raise some eyebrows apparently

Agree but he’s said before he’s had chances to go, other managers may have gone after the first decent offer.

Impressive commitment to the cause. If he had walked in July after relegation, even if just to retire to his fishing lake, nobody would have blamed him, but he's stuck it out.
  • Makes me all the more anxious for an announcement today. Would love to see what LB and SG have been able to do.

Josh has a first team squad number for the new year so doubt it would be him
