going to be a lot of this until 27th February so will just have to live with it.

My gut feeling is that he will sign a pro contract with Charlton but who knows. I'll worry about it in 12 days time.

Can only hope so Hen, all depends whether he falls into the Jermain Defoe category or not!

Parents/Manager/Friends are key figures at this time!

We can only hope they share our views.

Is their thread based on quality of information.....?

"Excellent news, he's from of Harold Hill and out of contract with Charlton at the end of the season."

I didn't bother reading any further.

True but I've heard something similar from a different (reliable in the past) source.

Best not tell us then, Len.

We've just had a great weekend - a decent win and Valentine night rewards.
Even Golfie posted a really upbeat piece.

That's 3 or 4 of us believe we can stay up now, including the one sittiing on the fence - so best not burst our bubble, eh?

    ;o)

    The rumour's spreading unfortunately...

  • I have already succumbed to the fact he'll be off. £750k with add ons or something pathetic like that. If he won't sign a pro contract & we lose him, then I think Murray would be totally justified in closing the academy down & turning into a scholl of excellence (I rumour I've heard anyway).

A scholl of excellence - Never heard of one of them!
  • Probably a bit unfair to ask Uncle. Probably best wait till the end of Feb.

I think it depends on wether we stay up, I think it wouldnt be good for his development to play in league 1 for too long.

What are we speculating on ..... facts or rumours?

Rumours can be started by anybody and talked about by everybody.
Any facts can be purely incidental.

As Stop Shouting says, wait until the end of Feb.
We'll know by then if JonJo has signed his contract.

And if we do our bit to get behind the team, we may have enough fight to stay up.

    Stay up = keep JonJo
Relegated = he'll want to play higher level

So maybe, as a club and supporters, it's in our own hands .... ?

I thought he'd already been at West Ham, but had left?

I would not bet a penny on him staying though, but I'm not seeing him ending up with West Ham.
  • I wouldn't be too shocked if NO ONE came in for him. There's no doubt that he's a great player with top notch potential but the prem clubs such as West Ham and Arsenal (who he's also been linked with) prefer players with a degree of maturity off the pitch, and from what I've heard, Jonjo is a bit like a 12 year old....

    I think it means:

    1.) You're middle aged
2.) When you're friends, who are also middle aged enter the pub - you scream your head off.

I am not sure whether he is saying that specifically to you B or making a general observation that women "are not mature". I for one would not say that directly to you. ;-)

Not directed at you since I have no idea who you are, no offense intended - Just a general observation, and effin annoyance

What he's actually saying is that men are more mature than women and that girls smell and they all have lurgies!
