  • Bet a lot of people are going to hate that line up!!

But Vennings certainly deserves to be there ahead of Williams and Forster-Caskey at the very least after Tuesday night

Good to see Watson in the starting line-up. Hoping we at least don't concede until we get Aneke and Maddison on to cause some havoc

No disrespect to Vennings at all but surely Morgan is a better option?

Yeah I want to see how they line up... We all know how Bowyer hates Morgan's defensive side

Thought both Vennings and Morgan had decent enough games against Brighton
  • Bowyer must really not rate Williams anymore.

Not much goal threat nor creativity in that team. Top goalscorer is probably Prately with about 5 or 6 for us. Next Purrington & then Washington. Less than a dozen I reckon.

    Not really.
Washington needs a partner up top

Vennings gets in the game more than Morgan This is a weak line-up so no room for passengers ( Morgan, Williams)

At least it looks like Oshilaja is at right back. Gives me the heebie jeebies in the centre.

Can't say I'm disappointed about JFC not being in the squad

    What’s the latest on Phillips?
  • I guess its 4-3-3 with Vennings trusted to cover the Right-Back more than Morgan which is understandable

    Amos
    Oshilaja | Pratley | Famewo | Purrington
    Vennings | Watson | Levitt
    Oztumer | Washington | Doughty

Bowyer said Vennings has been standing out in training, Morgan clearly isn’t. He also played well on Wednesday, so deserves a start.
  • With that line-up seems like Doughty is going to have to do an awful lot for us to win

Sounds like he'll go to Bournemouth IF they offload Begovic

If they dont then it looks all the more likely that he wont find a new club before the 16th October

He can then either sign a new deal or stay at home until January and hope things change

    Or a revolutionary 3-6-1

    Oshilaja | Famewo | Purrington

    Vennings | Watson | Pratley | Levitt | Oztumer | Doughty

    Washington

    Or a 3-5-1-1

Still thinks he has bigger fish to fry, and so is probably sat
at home with a cuppa, brooding "don't they know who i am"   :D

Compare that line up to the one we had when we last played Sunderland.

    Scary.
  • This'll bite me on the arse @ 5pm but this is the sort of ugly line-up from Bowyer that usually sees us win

Washington arguably better than Parker but not much else

True, but assume Sunderland have changed their lineup as well, plus
of course they have Parkinson in charge ;)

Bowyer dissed me this morning, took the piss out of my veggie bacon sandwiches at the team breakfast. I stormed off in a huff saying 'you'll be sorry, don't come crawling and begging to me after this'.
His loss, I saw two Magpies together in the week too.

Was it at Waterloo Station? - All the rival fans seem to wait for our opponents there
