  • We'd better get a good result this afternoon because the sporting fixtures have been shit so far today with West Coast losing by a point to Collingwood in the AFL Elimination Final and Norwich losing to a very late Wayne Rooney goal just now (and also missed a pen when Pukki slipped as he was about to strike the ball).

Come on you rip-roaring, goal-scoring Addicks, give me something to be cheerful about.

I knew Vennings was in favour but not THIS in favour! Excited to see how he goes. He'll be some player, as I've said

Bloody hell, our team looks weak. Praying for a playoff style miracle today.
  • That line up tells me ever player has to give 100% and be up for the fight,if not i would not want to face Bowyer next monday.

This is going to be a very hard match.
  • Jonny Williams is frustrating me but no where near Bonne level. I wish he was a starter but he hasn't been playing well
  • O ye of little faith. Today will be one of those days where the stars align and everything will go right on the pitch, condemning you doubters to hanging your heads for the rest of the day.

    SISS.

It'll have to be an Oztumer match, otherwise he'll rarely start after this month.  I hope it is, as apart from Maddison we lack potential goals in midfield.

Back 4 looks ok. Everything in front of that looks pretty weak though. This is Sunderland though, not Real Madrid and we’ve had spells  where we’ve dominated all 3 league matches so far - just need to find a way to score first.

I know we're in 'transition' but we do need to pick up points where we can. Otherwise we're gonna be facing a mountain to climb come mid season. Hope the boys can pull together for this one.

Well, suppose we owe Sunderland a win after the last time

I really hope Bow can get a settled 11 soon. Curbs and Gritty found out that chopping and changing can be problematic.

    Why no Davidson?
He doesn't play for us 😉
  • What's Albie got to do to get a game? In my opinion much better than
Oztumer and Vennings and why no Davidson on the bench?

Oz, Vennings and Levitt are not exactly bite yer legs players.
Mind you Vennings does have a bit of a temper on him.
    Takes a nice penalty.
Right now the Vennings stuff is a bit of a mystery to me.
Got to hope for incisive passes to Doherty from Levitt and he can capitalise.
    The Sunderland team looks strong.

Looking at this line up I think the best we can hope for is keep it goalless for 60 minutes or so and then bring on the big guns.

At least it looks like Oshilaja is at right back. Gives me the heebie jeebies in the centre.
He gives me the heebie jeebies when he steps over the white line.

This is essentially Bowyer ball. We don't shoot a lot but the chances we do have are very clear cut opportunities. It's also why the "Bonne had X% shot conversion rate and that's impressive" stats are rubbish. His conversion rate was 'high' in comparison to others because our chance quality is high. When you factor in the quality of the chances, his conversion rate was bad.

Ran himself into the ground a bit on Tuesday night and got cramp

Might be just resting him up this week what with Aneke coming back as an option
