2020 - 2070 Charlton Time Capsule
Charlton Athletic have launched its very own 2020 Time Capsule which will be stored in the museum at The Valley.
The capsule, which will be sealed for fifty years, will look to capture a snippet of our current history, to be revisited in 2070. The Capsule will be sealed at the end of 2020.
Fans are invited to contribute to our official Time Capsule, by applying to donate an item below.
If successful, fans will be contacted via email with details on how to donate their item.
Items such as scarves, tickets, photographs and programmes are encouraged, whilst larger items will not be accepted. Please note, whilst we are in lockdown, items will need to be posted to The Valley. More details will be shared with successful applicants.
Current players from both the Men’s and Women’s first team will be donating items, as well as Thomas Sandgaard, who will be invited to contribute.
Our Virtual Young Reds members will have priority access to applying, with a guaranteed allocation in the Time Capsule. Our young supporters can still become a Virtual Young Red to benefit by below.

The year is 2070 and Covid-19 is released back into the population following the opening of a time capsule at the spiritual home of ten times intergalactic cup winners Charlton Athletic. 🙂

Me: So where are you going to keep this time capsule?
Charlton : We have top men working on it right now.
Me : Who?
Charlton : Top... men.

The shrunken heads of ESI 1 and 2. Here we see the lady of Merelwood House puckering up to kiss Southall's wallet.

I think we should put a £1 coin in the capsule as a reminder of ESI0

Just opened my 1970 - 2020 time capsule. Found a press cutting of ‘rumour that Derek Bellotti set to sign from Gillingham’. Underneath, there is a note from @Henry Irving - WIOTOS.7

Just had a communication from the club saying that my item has been accepted. Not much I’ll admit but I’m chuffed anyway. I will donate my prized 1947 FA cup winners medal......
No not really. I’m donating my 2020 Royal British Legion / Charlton Athletic badge. Anyone else ?1 -
I have a photograph from 1982 with me and my daughter aged 4 and a half about to go to her first game. It was at Upton Park. She is wearing my old bobble hat and scarf from when I was a lad.
It's a bit of a time capsule itself.
It is a treasured possession of mine.
This was accepted today. Chuffed.2 -
