Sir David Foskett, Geoff Mesher FCA, Jim Sturman QC.

    You mean someone like Macclesfield!!

Of course we all know they gave the Silkmen that punishment because they knew of the shit they were going through so used the opportunity to wash their hands of them

  • I really despise the EFL.

    Totally unfit for purpose.

Would like to see an annual protest against them by combined clubs fans

I guess  this has been talked about before.

  • I've just learnt about this whilst watching the EFL highlights. I was gobsmacked to hear the presenters talking of them getting 6 points back, and then to compound it adding that maybe now Weds can climb out of trouble. They spoke like they were pleased about it when they should have been saying how disgraceful it is. I bet that Plymouth manager would feel differently if he had been in our position last season, or in Wycombe's position this season.

Caught the Massives owner/Chairman, Chansiri guy, on Sky Sports News.

He still maintains they shouldn't have lost any points as they did nothing wrong.

Says he'll accept the 6 point deduction.

Sky reporter asked if he was going to challenge that and he was a bit uncommitted.

just shows what (presumably) throwing loads of lawyers and money at a problem can achieve .. whatever the cost of getting this corrupt reduction, it is surely less than what another relegation would cost
  • Delaying the 12 point deduction was wrong. And this is even wronger! I just hope coaching staff and players are so disgusted at having to play a cheating club, that they try even harder so that the get relegated anyway! I don't want to think how angry I will be if they stay up due to these 6 point!
  • Thinking about it some more, I'd like it if all the staff at Charlton shunned the Plymouth manager on Saturday for saying that he was happy with this decision.

In what context was he even commenting?

Those remaining 6 points will also be revoked if they're near the bottom in the new year.

I don't even want to think about that - otherwise I will stew all season in case it does happen!

They're also trying to get next year's points added to this year's table.

    Can’t blame them at all.

Surprised it’s only two weeks notice though.

Wasnt that the same amount of notice that Bolton players had to give?

If they are not paying players wages surely that means they must be under a transfer embargo

I would never wish complete catastrophe on any club (except perhaps one from Croydon), but I can’t help feeling Sheffield Wednsday deserve a bit of their current troubles. They tried to cheat their way through financial games to get an unfair advantage on their rivals and received a late and derisory punishment, directly affecting us. I hope they lose all of their good players and we manage to bag a few for free and I hope they fail next season and have a spell in league two. I know I might sound like a vindictive old bastard, and probably am, but I’m comfortable with that.
It does feel like a bit of karma right now, not just for us in our relegation, but wider English lower league football. We know of so many clubs that have cheated the system in different ways over the years and got away with it. The possible further decline of Wednesday should prove as a warning to those intent on continuing in there unscrupulous ways.
