It was a pretty uninspiring blend but Foley, Crofts and Ulvestad all had international caps, so weren't total mugs.SantaClaus said:It wasn't that long ago that our midfield was Foley, Crofts, Ulvestad and a past his prime Jackson. Looking back I'm surprised we didn't end up in League Two.1 -
Which I think can only be a good thing, as if one or two get injured then we can rotate with little effect on the quality as all with have a good understanding of each other.killerandflash said:What we have now is massive quality AND quantity. While Bowyer may have his favourite 4, chances are they won't play together that often as Bowyer will regularly rotate them
Also think its promising that the midfield is likely to chip in with goals, especially Maddison, Shinnie, JFC and Gilbey.0 -

He plays what he thinks is his freshest and strongest combination to win that specific game.
Then next week, he'll pick yet another freshest and strongest side to negate and beat the next opponents.
It seems to be working right now.
But personally, I still yearn for a strongest settled 1st XI that's unchanged bar injury, that matures into a 'legendary' team, sweeping all before it.
You remember the old adage, "never change a winning team".
