Nice.  Did any of the lads pick up any sprigs of lucky heather down there?

Albie Morgan was there and put the winning penalty save up on his Instagram story.

  • Lost 1-0 at Watford, this morning,

Six league games without a win.
  • It looks as though the FA Youth Cup game against Sheffield Utd has been arranged for Tuesday 15th December (7pm).

The FA site states that the game will be played at Dartford, but haven't seen that confirmed elsewhere.

The game may not be allowed to take place at Dartford as it is in a tier 3 area.

Surely Sport can happen but just with no fans? - Going to be difficult for some Leagues to operate if not, especially the Southern Counties East Football League where they've got teams in the London Boroughs (Welling Town) and others in Kent (Canterbury City)

Amongst the rules applying to tier 3 areas are these rules
there should be no public attendance at spectator sport or indoor performances and large business events should not be taking place. Elite sport events may continue to take place without spectators
    • organised outdoor sport, and physical activity and exercise classes can continue, however higher-risk contact activity should not take place

    • organised indoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes cannot take place indoors. There are exceptions for indoor disability sport, sport for educational purposes and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s

The U18s were back in action this morning, winning 3-1 at Colchester Utd.

I've no details about the lineup and goalscorers.

This was retweeted by the club yesterday and it got mentioned in the U23 thread, but just in case you missed it.

    FA Youth Cup temporarily suspended.

  • How is Kai Garande progressing?  My son played Sunday football with him for a few seasons. He’s a nice lad so would be good if he did well in the game.
  • The U18s won 2-0 at QPR, this morning. This is only the 3rd game they've played since December 12th.

I've no details about the lineup or scorers. Hopefully the OS catches up with reports at some point (they stopped in November).

Goalscorers from these two games: Tolu Ladapo (2) and Euan Williams vs. Colchester. Own goal and Richard Chin vs. QPR.

Source: The players write ups on the Valley Gold website.
  • Great to see Euan Williams is back
  • A couple  of notes:

The U18s won 5-2 vs. Colchester Utd, yesterday. No other details available.

The FA Youth Cup has got the green light to resume. We're home to Sheff Utd in the 3rd round and (if successful) away to Peterborough or Doncaster in Round 4.

Fantastic news. Really hopes he kicks on and in the course of the nest couple of years becomes a first teamer.

    Watch out, Beadle's about!

Young midfielder Ifeoluwa Oni leaving for Birmingham.

It’s one of those Nigerian football websites which hypes up any player of Nigerian descent. Oni is apparently similar to Kante but more complete and box to box.
