Shame about the sponsor but I expect the museum would've kept it otherwise.0
-
We do not own it , we are selling it for a Charlton fan in exchange for a percentage to the museum.Talal said:Shame about the sponsor but I expect the museum would've kept it otherwise.0 -
Yeah read the other thread after 👍0

Unusual to see the sponsor come off like that, especially as the number looks in almost perfect nick.1

As this thread's up and running... Picked this beauty up yesterday. Frame just need freshening up, was done by Garry Nelson's old company.

Looks like it's been pinned in the frame. This makes do much difference. I bought a 90s match issue, only to find out it had once been glued and framed. Almost ruined the shirt, I've put hours in to try and restore it. Still a long way to go.Talal said:As this thread's up and running... Picked this beauty up yesterday. Anyone seen one of these before? Was given to me years ago by Andy Petterson, was told it was Parkers, but the number makes no sense in that context.0
-
It's the sponsor that's most interesting. Never seen it before and wasn't used for the reserves or youths from what I've seen in programmes.4

Yes pinned. Don't usually like to buy framed shirts but will make some wall space for this.PopIcon said:

The original Viglen sponsor of that shirt was embroidered in to the fabric. That is a vinyl patch on the front.shine166 said:Anyone seen one of these before? Was given to me years ago by Andy Petterson, was told it was Parkers, but the number makes no sense in that context.
Parker would have been 14/15 when that shirt was originally released, so hypothetically could have belonged to him.
What size is it?1 -
I'm going to guess 46". Definitely looks too big for a teen Parker's size.1
-
Talal - give me that framed shirt & I will sort it out for you

Yeah its a strange one 42/44 is the size.PopIcon said:

The Admiral shirt that we are selling is from the 1990-91 season.Henry Irving said:

Oddly enough looking at that photo Id say it was Morts not Carl.5

Leaburn is a lot taller.TEL said:Oddly enough looking at that photo Id say it was Morts not Carl.0 -
I think you are right , it just says Carl in the textTEL said:Oddly enough looking at that photo Id say it was Morts not Carl.

Also isn't the same number set. Morts/Carlo's utilises the once popular 3D design. The one on the back of the shirt doesn't.charltonnick said:

On my number 7 shirt the Admiral logo is at the top of the number while every other shirt seems to have them at the bottom. Wonder if this is just specific to that number 🤷♂️0

They obviously had a bit of an issue with the Woolwich logo with a certain batch
