You may not believe it, but we appear to have our biggest game of the season tonight. Again. Perhaps it would assist if every team we played for thhe rest of the season was called Crystal Palace, because i desperately hope the players are more up for it than what the supporters appear to be.

A defeat tonight and it really could be curtains for us. Real pressure cooker situation and boy do we need to be up for this.

Doncaster's last 10 league games have seen the amazing record of W8 D1 L1

Doncaster on a great run and quietly shot up the table from being down there with us.

This is going to be VERY VERY hard game but I fancy us to win

    2-0 shelvey 1st goal

They are not Brazil 1970, they have just had a fantastic run that IS capable in this league by anyone.

All good things can and must come to an end.

    We have to win

    We will win.

The next two home games have to be 6 points, anything less than 4 and we are gone IMO.

Well, Nicky Bailey seems up for it, are we ...... ?

"Bailey, now Charlton's top goalscorer, told the official website: "When things aren't going well you can feel the fans' frustration. But when they get behind you, it gives you a lift.

Nicky Bailey has urged Charlton's fans to turn out in their numbers and roar the Addicks to victory when Doncaster Rovers visit The Valley on Tuesday night

"They are the 12th man and if they're nice and loud as they have been, they can help us put a performance in."

    Come on you 12th man!

Have to win. Everyone knows that. We've not been to bad recently so hopefully that will continue tonight.

    A Draw.
  • I fancy us to win. They are a tidy side, but I like the fact they've made themselves virtually safe in the past few weeks.
Hopefully our greater need & desire will win the day. 2-0.

This is one match where we've all got to be yelling the team on.

We've got to make it happen.

And for tonight, it's our Cup Final ....!

I've gone for the win, I'm holding out blind hope we can still do this. Anything less than a win tonight and we're gone imo.

We're only gone if we're 10 points behind safety with 3 games left.

A win tonight could prove vital, but if we don't get it, it won't end our season tonight.

Our season only ends when we give up.

Anyone know if the Big man (Kandol) is back?
Would much prefer to see 2 up front again tonight need to push them back rather than counter-attack.
Think it will be an open affair as they can go for it after there recent run!!
    3-1

I really think we have turned the corner and expect us to get 4 points from tonight and Watford, hopefully carrying us a couple of points nearer to safety.

tonight 1-1 and although early CAFC 2 Watford 0

We need the crowd tonight for sure and we need the crowd to be supportive and patient.
I read Donny as well drilled and they will come to spoil and contain and hit us on the break.
So we need to build and out play then yet not go throwing the kitchen sink at then too early.
We definitely need to go 442 and force them deep , matching up a 451 will give a stalemate.
We also need Dicko and Kandolplaying close together and getting wide with early crosses.

same here... we'll need them to score a few own goals or bailey to do it cos our striking goal machines are firing blanks

No Kandol tonight still away with family.
Shame I think we need 2 strikers up at home and the others offer no real goal threat.!! We need goals.
    Do we have any luck?

  • A win tonight - 2-0 or 2-1.

Am well up for it personally - can't do Saturday afternoons so always look forward to evening games.

    Charlton to win 2 - 1.

Better win, I'm surrounded by Donny fans up here, 5 of em are round mine to listen to CAFCTV, so won't be a fun night (week) for me if we get tonked

The team's set up for the midfielders to score.

Dicko, etc will perhaps get chances on a 1-on-1 on the break or the loose ball tap in.
But otherwise we don't create chances for forwards.

jonjo starts just got on 18/1 first goalscorer paddy power and 15/2 anytime scorer ... i'm sure ladbrookes at the ground will generously offer 8/1 on first goalscorer

Suspect that tonights predicted rainfall will be pissing on our proverbial fire.

Got 0-0 written all over it.

Have horrible feeling that the Watford game is going to end up all square as well.

We have steadied the ship at the back (cue 3-0 defeat tonight) but ultimately our lack of goals is going to cost us in the next two games.
