Everyone down to 14th in the National League South qualifies for the Cup. With only one more week to go, you should be in the hat for the First Round Draw which will be announced soon.

Last week was a strange one for the Prediction League. Never mind getting the correct score; for five of the fixtures, no one managed to get the right result. Also, Palace’s draw with Spurs meant that 60 of the 61 people predicting that game were cursing Palace on Sunday night. 

There were significant differences by division too. Predictions in the Premier League scored an average of 0.04 points per prediction. In the Championship this rose to 0.75 per prediction, and in League One, it was a fraction under 1 point per prediction.

All this statistical nonsense didn’t concern @seth plum who was this week’s superstar with a very healthy 7 points, which sees him on the brink of Premier League status. Hopeful Harriet is still riding high as Charlton and Millwall came up trumps this weekend while Pessimist Pete has sunk into the National South where he quite frankly belongs.

OK, that confused me for 10 minutes. Someone asked to drop out of the Prediction League and my software program failed to deal with having one less competitor. I will make sure it is fixed for next week. Apologies and thanks for pointing out.
