We support a club not a division.

I can see a new banner in the Covered End

Our demise started when those banners went up. Do you know who to blame?

Good to see the people on here saying they will be renewing.

The problem for the club, of course, is that not everyone is committed enough or has the time to spend on message boards or attending supporters' meetings. In fact, by definition those not represented in these forums are those least likely to renew, so it's important to treat this feedback with caution.

OK, if you are going to be pedantic about it I said Covered End rather than covered end. The capitalisation makes it a proper noun rather than a descriptive.

    So up yours : - )

For my sins yes, just like another gas bill for me.

I think a few of those staying quiet will sack it off next season though..............

    Not renewing.
People I go with, now have sons playing football on Saturdays and wont be going.
Plus getting married in summer and we both work in banks so not safest jobs at moment (I am only a temp). And the missus has already given up her horse.

Didn't renew this year and will not, if I'm honest, won't be going to many games next year.

Been going since 1983 but am just sick of watching nonsense.

Was chatting to a mate walking out of The Valley the other night and the amount of people we knew who all went home *and* away but have now jacked it in is unbelievable.

How much do you reckon they will be?

What about a bit of reverse psycology and offering a free one when we go down again.

Me and Harryamuse will be getting season tickets next year, what else would we do on a Saturday - whatever division it will be fun.
Incidentally Mr Kimbo on a presentation skills training course tomorrow, and has to prepare a presentation about his hobby so has done it on Charlton - bleak reading but he will be fantastic!

Yes, the Marches will be there. Perhaps a small incentive would be to make the Johnson's Painted Van matches free for S.T holders. With our cup record it wouldn't cost them much!

As long as I've still got a job I'll be renewing and my parents are almost certain to renew.
  • Have had a season ticket since the Upton Park days but i'll be honest and admit that next season i'm seriously considering not bothering. Not because i don't care about Charlton any more, and not because i don't want to go, but because there's been so many times this season when i've just simply not enjoyed being there. Walking back to my car the other night in the howling wind, getting soaking wet was certainly one of those times.
Add that to the fact that at any game next season (bar Millwall) i'll be able to pay on the day and renewing doesn't quite become so essential. I'll still go to a lot of games just not sure i'll stump up £300 quid in June.

Jacob who is 12 showed some serious doubts earlier in the Season about renewing but I am pleased to say He is in next Season so we will both be renewing...................how could I not?
I must state tho I have offered Jacob the Childline number in case things get even more worse,(could it?), next Season!!!
    Up the Addicks
  • Yep. And 2 sons.

Hoping to encourage my brother and his 8 year old daughter and another brother who has returned from working in Manchester to sign up as well.

I think relegation and economy will have a big impact. Wish I could be a fly on the wall at the Board meeting on season ticket pricing.

Not sure that I agree with Airman Browns comments posted on this forum that it is a cross the board reflection of fans opinions. I have often been interested in the number of regular posters who dont actually attend games.
