Deji will get his chance next game apparently0

“Shape” pleeeeaaassseeee...!!😂😂😂🤣🤣0

Who takes the blame if Oshilaja fucks up?
I wonder if any fans will ever put their hand up and admit they're wrong if he costs us... HAHA!!4 -

Time for LB to earn his corn and change things around and for the better. I think he’ll do both. When the going gets tough and all that. Not many tougher than Lee Bowyer.2

Pointless interview really.
Minto can't ask about his crazy selections; can't ask why he picks players out of position; cant ask why maddison left on the bench.9 -
‘Working on shape’ what fucking shape....firstly play players in their correct positions not a coincidence that we looked better in first 15 mins of 2nd half6

Curbs agrees with Bowyer comments.Bloody hell some of you ain’t going to like that.13

Inexplicable.
Bowyer is acting like he wants out. Apart from a burgeoning new interest in psychedelic drugs or random number generators (as posited in the match thread), the only explanation for his batshit-crazy decisions in the last few weeks must be that he has had enough and is pining for carp and Saturdays by the lake rather than in the dugout.
If any of us acted the same way in our day-to-day jobs, we would be sacked, or at the very least, suspended.
I can't imagine how bad team morale must be now. How must Maddison be feeling now? Even more pissed off than the rest of them is my guess. There's only one person that is responsible for that (who wouldn't listen to the sage of advice of someone like Curbs, FFS?).
I suspect we will find out sooner rather than later how patient Thomas is.
A sad situation, but one that LB has directly led us to. We can either be loyal to LB or make progress on the pitch. Sadly, I now see it as a binary choice.12 -
Good to hear we will be doing exactly the same things for the Accrington game...3
-
Bowyer must be really pleased with that.
Sets the team up not to win, once again & he succeeded.
It takes a lot of planning to work out how to ensure you can lose with a better squad.
Play Bogle, almost guaranteed not to score.
Leave out your creative players, the ones who can create a goal like Maddison.
Play half the team out of position, having to play on the wrong side, to well and truly stop any sort of cohesion.
Ensure the chaos demoralises the team & kills any team spirit & confidence.
Job done.
Ok I'm being faceitious, but that is what Bowyer has been doing now for far too long.

Sorry mate but this is a bit weird. Oshilaja isn't good enough but he's a centre back so should play ahead of a centre midfielder, that's it. He most probably will fuck up.16 -
When you are playing in a position you are not comfortable in, it is inevitable that you take too many touches when you receive the ball.
This is basic stuff2 -
PaddyP17 said:Bowyer played a right back at left back; a left back at right mid; a centre mid at centre half who then got sent off for falling for the bait and kicking out (he's 35 for god's sake); Omar Bogle; left our most creative midfielder/s on the bench; and set us up with no creativity whatsoever.
My mood has shifted over the last month and I want to see a fresh approach, be that with or without Bowyer.
In the short term, it is a simple fix. Play a normal formation with players in the right positions. Dominate lesser teams: Amos; Matthews; Pearce; Deji; Maatsen, then a midfield of JFC; Morgan; Williams; and Maddison; Schwartz/Aneke and Washington up top. Impose our will on a team and just brief the defenders to twat the ball miles away from our final third and that will be that.
We are desperately short of positivity right now.5 -
We need to sign pace and creativity this Jan and someone that can score goals. Today’s performance lacked all those things! I never understand the thought process of playing players out of position, Matthews is a good right back don’t play at bloody left back. Turgid, flat, slow and crap-all accurate descriptions of today’s performance.2

cafc4life said:Another nonsense setup from bowyer matched by a pathetic performance. About time some serious questions were asked. 3 players out of position , front two couldn’t hit a barn door. Ridiculous. This side is miles off the team that went up 2 years ago and as it stands this season will fizzle out to nothing unless there are some big changes.
playing people in their correct position would be a start2 -

And I am no Deji fan. I remember very well CL's 'resident tactics expert' going mental at me for daring to say both Deji and Pearce weren't good enough to get us promoted. Apparently he thought they were both more than good enough. I stand by the judgment that they aren't and this season is proving me right, but f--- me, I'd still play them over a midfielder.

Well at least Maddison's got plenty of rest before the next game, which is the main thing.3
-
2 wins out of 10 now and the majority of them results are due to Bowyers poor team selection/tactics and decision making.
I'll say it now as things are Bowyer is not going to get us promoted be it this season or next2 -
this is how its going to play out - bowyer will bring in some reinforcements but he will continue to play negative rubbish, we will just miss out on the play offs - bowyer will then hopefully be released in the summer(with the fans and players relieved) and a proper manager will tweak the squad and we will go up as champions - this will happen because TS will not want to upset fans and the applecart generally now but if he acts now, there is a chance we could avoid wasting a year - those defending bowyer are simply wasting time and TS's money3

We were shit
but we have had no decent defence with two best defenders missing for 6 games.
we had no proper striker today
mans why was Marcus Maddison not on the field ?
both teams had a shit REF today.
no excuses, todays team will never get promotion
so Thomas in you want promotion let’s have a good
January window, and get our best players fit and back.
a shit day at the office for the Addicks 👎👎👎0 -

Set up with that or something like it and I think the outcome would have been different.Watson and Pratley out though should improve things.0
