    So...4-4-2 with Dickson/Shelvey dropped for Kandol & Burton. Soares benched and Sam starts and ZZ on the bench too...

    Surprised that Jonjo has been dropped completely from the squad. Toddy is neverbrought on anymore so why bother putting him on the bench.

    Glad my feet are resting on the sofa and the season ticket is unused. No goals in that team. 3 points gifted to the opposition.

    I'm surprised that Dickson didn't make the bench rather than Toddy, at least he's match fit. Given that Parky hasn't played him at all since December it's asking a lot for him to come on and turn things around if Kandol/Burton don't look like scoring.

    Not just Dicko and Jonjo missing .... Ambrose is off the radar too, despite some determined and skilful sub cameos just recently.


    But you can easily read into the fact that Parkinsella have ditched the 4-5-1 'away' type formation played in the last couple of games - and chosen a formation with more width and able to hold the ball up better up front.

    Which also should mean we player higher up the park and, in theory at least, take the game to Watford.
    As we should be doing, as the home side.

    The bench is also geared up to having 'hold up' players available - which is quite possibly why Dicko's been binned and Toddy is there as the sole 'spare' striker.

    Several permutations available with the subs so, with ZZ there too, a decent well-thought out bench.

    I prefer the to see a defensive option on the bench rather than Holland.

    But Holland covers the full back and centre half positions - and can still do a stint in any of the 4 midfield positions
    for 20 mins.

    So by using Holland, you can use him directly in a position, without having to reshuffle half the team to accomodate a sub.
    it makes sense to have him on the bench.

    Apart from Gandulph, the other players on the bench, are impact players.
