I heard yesterday Mr Waggot was talking to supporters in the NS bar area and asking if they would renew.
Credit to him for talking to supporters .

I didn't see him myself but the buzz from the bloke behind me was Waggy was about.

He should have gone in the West with a big bag of Werthers!
  • All those rustling werthers wrappers would have woken up too many fans Nelse !

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

He and the board are slagged off for not communicating or listening (which I think is unjustified) but when he comes around and engages with fans (and Peter Varney did similar things in his time) he slagged off for that.

We're in the s***, part of his job is to sell ST which is going to be tough so he goes and canvasses some opinions. Says something about him and about Charlton and it's fans.

Steve, I'm at the back of block E on the halfway line up the back so you know for next time, please or come in the liberal club and I let the clique ignore you ; - )

Waggy selling ST's. Really? You bet it'll be tough selling them to men, but does it mean he's thrown in the towel?

Time and place and I don't think yesterday was one of them.
  • Can`t see a problem with SW doing his job tbh.

if SW was doing his job properly would we be in this position ?
  • Thats a bit unfair Steve surely. He is not in charge of team affairs and from what I have heard he is doing his CE role very well.

Yeah Steve, if he hadn't missed that sitter at home to Burnley we wouldn't be in this mess now!

AS CEO he would have been part of the selection committee once Pards was sacked. That is my point

When is the time and place then?

When else other than matchdays are the majority of Season Ticket holders in one place and available to be spoken to?

When should he ask the questions. When we are down? next season? or before the ST go on sale.

Only been in post since the summer. He didn't appoint Pardew or Parkinson and he doesn't pick the team. He's an employee. Not above blame or criticism IMHO but if you are going to say things like that at least be specific and say what it is he's done that has contributed to our current position.
  • So he could overule the Murray and Co ? For you know he might have wanted Parkinson out ! You can`t condemn him without knowing.

OK, posted above before I saw this.

He's an employee. He may have been part of the panel, I don't know but I assume that he was involved, but in most co.s it's the owners who make the big hiring and firing decisions.

And even if he was solely responsible for Parkinson that doesn't make what he did Saturday wrong.

I can say what my opinion is,if you don't like it fair enough.

Henry if he want's a general feeling and consensus let him come up to the upper north bar and gather it.He can then go
and have a bovril with u lot in the east afterwards.

You can have your opinion and I can disagree with it. That's what debate is.

Which bar was he in then?

AFKA said he was on the North Upper Concourse so he did what you wanted him to do. He came around and asked questions.

What more do you want him to do.
