Two feet of snow on the pavement.

Oldie but it’s still quite good.
  • until now seeing the snow fall it has reminded me of something i never really thought about when it comes to pubs and the fact that they're closed.

during the build up to christmas and winter time in general. when you arrive at a nice country type pub as snow begins to fall.
you open the door to see and feel the warmth coming from a log fire. the smell rising from the fireplace and also the smell of mulled wine which is being kept in a pot on the bar ready for consumption. lovely.

Feel like I’ve returning to my Sunday league management days. I’m just staring out the window shouting “SETTLE, SETTLE”

Just finished my Sunday cycle. Started bright and clear and crisp. Finished in a lovely snowfall.
Brilliant. And I got my target of 100 miles this week.

No wonder they didn’t settle if you were shouting from behind a window in the dressing room.

Settled stuff now diminishing in Lee.
This morning I went to the industrial estate for my walk instead of the park.
Pretty cool walk today. Nice and alone.

Snowing in my village near Tunbridge Wells. About two feet deep now.
It’s very regionally clustered. My old man is 10 mins from Tunbridge Wells and said there was very little at 10am and that was it.

Surrey and Berkshire seemed to get the bulk of it where we are - seems to be turning to rain as it spreads east

Son's family in Dorking has just forwarded photos of them in the back garden with a 6ft snowman they've made !

The Old English Sheepdog pup is loving it too.

Stopped now, but it's been snowing in Cheshire all morning and most of yesterday.

Logs are in, fire is roaring - I'm not stepping another foot outside today!!

    Proper jealous of that.

Though a thousand shitting foxes would ruin that overnight for me :-(

Very disappointing today. Snow flurries around 11am for an hour or so but none settled. Just like Charlton.....all build up & then let down again.

That’s that for another year then.

    Even lockdown snow was shit.

Call the snowman Johnny. By lunchtime tomorrow it’s going to warm up. You’ll find his legs have gone.

    Just about sums things up.
  • Awful to say, but this is the first thing that's made me smile on a cold January Monday morning.

The front number plate is readable so hopefully traced and nicked.
