Warm down tonight - strange happenings

Maybe I imagined it. I was watching from a box as a guset of "Reading" supporters (more of that on another thread). Saw our lads out warming down, then gathered in a huddle. Not much going on, but then I thought why is there a man in a suit in the middle of it? Wasn't Kins, obviously, nor Parky (the man was bald).

Man in suit seemed to be telling them something, then he walked off and the players followed, slowly, and in deep conversation with each other. Was Richard Murray the man in the suit, and, if so, what had he just told them?

The driver telling them he was leaving in five minutes?

Or that the fish'n'chips were getting cold, and who ordered the saveloy...

Weegie 1. Congrats on getting into the box - wish i could have been there. 2. I am guessing Richard Murray was probably telling the lads that they did well to come back to steal a draw!

Dazzler, you may be right, I just like the odd conspiracy theory ;-)

Good performance tonight - was worried it would be embarassing, but actually the lads did us proud and deserved the draw if not more.

can't imagine Richard Murray going on the pitch to be honest. And i reckon unless you took maximum advantage of the free vino Weegs, you would have definately recognised him.

as a guset of "Reading" supporters

    What's that mean?
I know we've been pants this season.

That's me being deliberately diplomatic, AFKA. Of course I recognised him.

Well. maybe, after all, the vino was good and free ;-)

By the way, is your wife back from her latest night out with the girls yet? ;-} ;-)

AFKA's still waiting for her, hiding behind his mini-motor bike, Weegie.

Maybe he was telling Buttermilk, Hudson, Ward and Soares the coach will drop them off in Croydon on the way back ??

At the end of the first half Reading did indeed hit the woodwork three times but that was the only real concerted pressure we faced. Second half even though they scored twice they were terrible.

I was right in line with the pen, he took the ball then the man for me, but I have yet to see it on the box. Stupid challenge he was so wide by then he would never have scored, but still think it was a fair one

Difference between top of the table teams and those at the bottom ... ?
    Every division is the same.

Surely that should be the difference between us and every team

I was right in line too. Thought it was a pen at the time and opinion hasn't changed after seeing the replays.

I haven't seen the pen, so obviously my opinion doesn't count, lol

But whether the ref was right or wrong, why are our players diving in recklessly inside the box?
Bailey did it last week, too.

Even if our defender does just about play the ball first, but then goes through the man, it's a fine line.
Any ref more than a couple of yards away will assume that it was a foul.

Charlton defenders, stay on your feet inside the box, especially in the wider positions ....!

The sober opinion: still don't think it was a pen from seeing the replays - think he did get the ball. Draw was probably a fair result - they could have had two or three in first half. We didn't create many clear cut chances, but battled well.

If it wasn't Murray the only person I can think of is Gritt, but why would he be there, or maybe it was Paolo? ;)

It's bad enought that we're going down, without our fans being used as underwear. What a terrible season

BTW Parky had a suit on last night, end of conspiracy.

EDIT Just read the post properly. I think he may have shaved his head and started rocking when they went 2 one up. Or it was one of the Reading staff...
