    Lev Yashin.

Probably the best goalkeeper in the world prior to the '66 World Cup.

Looks like black tape to me, I think the upside down c is a reflection, must have been a game when the players wore black armbands.

Why are charlton lifers determine to give players that arnt getting in the first team some sort of magical cult status when quite often they just arnt good enough.

Possibly because those that ARE in the first team appear to be no better.

Moo2 looked a top player when he first came got injured at Stoke and has been in and out since for whatever reason.

Hi Shrew, I think the point being made was he is as good if not better than Butterfield so why play a loanee when you have a fit player on the books, Yassin make mistakes and is a rough diamond but I would rather see that than a loanee in his latter years keeping him out the team.

    Solly was captain
In terms of team news, Darren Randolph started in goal for the Addicks, with Yassin Moutaouakil at right-back and skipper Chris Solly in a slightly unfamiliar left-back role. Basey played at centre-back alongside young Mambo.

I must admit that i enjoy seeing Moutoo play. He gives us more options when he gets forward. I know he gets abuse about his defending , but a good coach would be able to improve that. Surely its not unreasonable to expect whoever is playing right midfield,to drop back and cover for for him when he overlaps.

He never gets a long enough run in the team to get a partnership like that going.

Same with his defending, players like him will improve with experience, rather than being naturally good at defending.

    We beat the Jills.

From the amount of shouting and encouraging he was doing, sounded like Basey was skipper this afternoon - formed a good centre-back pairing with Yado Mambo.
Moo2 was steady but not great. Duala has pace and good close control.

Agree 100%. It seems that being out of the side makes you a far better player!!! Dickson was another beneficiary of this.

What did you think of Mambo? Always been solid when I've seen him, but not very comfortable on the ball, needs to be more composed at times.
  • i like moo2 going forward, maybe try him on the wing????

Or... there are players who don't get a fair chance. We weren't scoring goals but dickson never got a chance so people moaned. We have a young right back who needs experiece but would rather keep loaning them in. people aren't saying these players are our salvation, just that they should be given a chance. Especially with our situation at the moment.
