Glass Topped Up

I'm certain that many Valley regulars and those from further afield will be pleased to hear that Glass Half Full returned home yesterday after a few days in hospital (not CV related) - just in time for the Gills game!
For me, GHF epitomises the spirit of the Charlton family, always ready with a smile, a welcome, and a story for visiting Addicks whether they come from, near or far, young or old.
When I last saw him at the Museum at a pre-lockdown game I wasn't really sure whether he hadn't been added to the exhibitions he seemed so at home there!
Hope you're feeling better today GHF.

Having watched the Gills game I'm surprised he hasn't taken a turn for the worse.
In all seriousness I can't wait to see him in xbars with Fanny and the gang.
Glad you are ok mate2 -

Many thanks for the kind sentiments. It really means a lot.Mr Parkinson has given me a reprieve, not a pardon, and I was on borrowed time. Some painful lessons but I have good folks looking out for me and hopefully I can use my extra time to proper effect.Learnings:1 - make up a hospital grab bag ready to take along with you2 - get your will sorted. What you've got, stays behind. No tow-hooks on a hearse.3 - make sure your support crew all have each other's numbers, door key drills etc4 - whatever happens is real life, not just a rehearsal. Take it seriously.I'm feeling a bit better, and slightly less dead. The crew are rallying round, and plans are in the making. On my part not a day too soon - I have been negligent but with luck I can make some amends. Thanks again for all your good wishes.Alan/GHF UTA!! COYR!! CTID!!20 -
