Well that was a half of 2 halves.
  • What has Barton got to be moaning at ref for?
Probably not happy with the Free-Kick that led to the equaliser whilst ignoring some of the soft set pieces they've had

Mixed bag really. They're finding it far too easy to create good chances against us but we're certainly not giving up. Will be interesting to see how the second half goes, Rovers' heads might have dropped. Let's hope so, because they will keep creating chances the way things are going. Need to keep it level and then get Chuks on and try and get the winning goal. Could see them crumbling if we can make it 3-2

This is the most brain dead group of players I’ve ever seen, zero spatial awareness anywhere on the pitch.

Really can’t wait to get rid of this squad and start again.

It's more entertaining if nothing else

More attacking intent, but our attacking play isn't great. Our last 3 goals have all been from individual brilliance, rather than team play
  • Get Aneke on, Stockley struggling to get into this. Be tempted to get jaiyesimi on wide right too as they are leaving so much space down that side.

Probably fair to say that the players don't want JJ as manager based on that performance?  I know the midfield scored both goals, but they are not working together very well. That's putting the defence under pressure and they are struggling. In possession, we are closed down, and when played forward quickly, Stockley and Washington are winning no second balls. Chuks could cause them havoc if he is up for it. Still winnable!  COYA!

  • Ipswich losing, find a winner and we would be back in top 6 if it all stays the same.

We have got to find another outlet other than long balls to Stockley, too many getting cut out
Him being in the team changes the dynamics. Personally think we look more likely when he isn’t in the team.

They will come at us again and we have no tackle in the midfield to stop them.

Ah, wish that half was 10 mins longer - felt like the tide had turned. Let’s hope we can keep this momentum.

Morgan is winding me up. He doesn't look over his shoulder when he receives the ball. So he immediately closes his body shape and goes backwards. Then we have does receive the ball in space, he's forcing it too much.

Got to get Shinnie on the ball more in that little pocket.

Stockley is a great target man but he doesn't show enough into his feet. The movement from the front two has been poor although to give BR credit
, they've kept their shape very well.

Well, there we are, 2-0 down as usual, then JJ bounce kicks in and off we go .......... any odds on final score

    Got to win this now.
As Brown has said, keep the ball. Bit of sideways passing is fine. Take care of the ball here and we’ll win.

Morgan on the right doesn't work for me and his passing looks devoid of confidence atm.

Why are we giving Millar gametime. He is woeful in the final third.

We sign Jaiyesimi on a permanent 2.5 year contract, so give him a run of games and stop giving gametime to an underperforming loanee.
Rumour is that if fit - we have to play him as part of the loan deal.

Nice little half time piece about the FA youth cup with Aaron Henry and Steve Avery, and impressed with Henry an experience head on young shoulders.

Is Aaron Henry really on just 18?  He looks and plays like he is about 25!
