  • Unused sub for the Spanners on Saturday, one hopes he was suitably contrite and gets some football and exposure under his belt. Presumably won't play for us again unless PP goes. Will score goals in Div One though.

Wouldn't be so sure. If he was that good they wouldn't have dropped him in the first place. Most of his goals from MK Dons came in League Two.

The player of the year and joint top scorer of league two should be able to contribute in league one, surely.

Contribute probably, score goals regularly? Not so sure.

Was talking to a millwall fan the other day who had absolutely nothing good to say about him.

Has Izale's position been resolved? I noticed he wasn't even on the bench for Millwall on Saturday and I see they have now recruited another loan striker from Doncaster (who scored for them).

Is Izzy sitting in limbo? And who , if anyone, is currently paying the poor boy his wages ?

I don't know who's paying his wages but what i do know is that if we're not going to sign Kandol then send him back (and Butterfield as well) and bring McLeod back and get him and Dickson playing and building a partnership for next season.

I think the point is we can't get him back because of the nature of the loan. The options are:-

    1. He stays at Millwall and they pay his wages
    2. He stays at Millwall and we pay his wages
    3. He comes back to us to train only and Millwall pay his wages
    4. He comes back to us to train only and we pay his wages
    5. He has a long holiday and decides who to sue for non payment of wages.

    He's under contract to Charlton.
He's under contract of his loan transfer to Millwall.

The one thing we can sure, he's getting at least his basic from either/both clubs..... so the poor lamb won't go hungry.

I suspect that in reality Millwall were only paying SOME of his wages anyway. Therefore the best we can hope for is that they still are paying some of his wages.

I wonder whether we are still lumbered with SOME of Amdy Faye's wages given that my understanding is that he is only on loan at Stoke until the end of the season when his contract with us expires.

We also have Pardew's fine investment Martin Christiansen to fund SOME if not most of too!

I realise some of this is outside of the Club's control because of contract laws but what a sorry state of affairs.

I took Millwall's statement that they had ''sent him back to the Valley'' to mean that they had no intention of paying him another penny. And presumably they are now paying this on-loan striker from Doncaster the budget that was earmarked to pay fo McLeod?

What the two clubs lawyers have sorted out over this matter I have no idea.

But what about Izale as POTY? He's p**ed of Millwall, which is a more positive and praiseworthy achievement than most of those wearing a Charlton shirt have managed this season!

Faye signed a new one yr contract with Stoke a month or two ago and so can't be our player. I believe he went there on trial initially but then signed permanently.

He signed a 1-year contract last August at Stoke under a full transfer.

With his existing contract expiring shortly, Stoke have evidently acted to ensure they don't lose such a highly rated player.
Or is it - they play to his strengths so he fits in at Stoke, in a way he couldn't/wouldn't at Charlton?
  • Never thought Faye was as bad as made out to be. Another in a long line of players that Pardew/Parkinson have destroyed perhaps ?

Faye went to Stoke permanently so I've no idea where I got the idea he was there on loan From!

At least that means we are not paying his wages.
