Schwartz to come on 2nd half and seal the win for us2

Inniss is quickly becoming one of my favourite players of recent years. What a man mountain.8

We need to bring Gunter on for Matthews as everything is coming down that side and Matthews not getting a tackle in0

            As it stands table.

Decent first 45. We are causing them plenty of issues going forwards, with Maatsen and DJ running off Stockley well. Even Glbey is somewhat involved. They do look a decent side too though, and Inniss and Pearce are having a tough job against Wykes and O'Brien, and McGeady does look such a good player (and much better than he ever did for us). Cut out the mistakes (thanks Pratters!), and keep the ball in their half and we can hang on and get all three points.1

Think we’ve played okay but interesting to read Sunderland comments, they think they’re playing awfully whereas I think we seem a bit lucky to be winning at half time2

Good half. Everyone is doing their job. Matthews could do with getting tighter to McGeady to stop those crosses coming in but other than that we’re solid. We’re looking good with the ball in the air so I’d quite like to see us switch the wingers to get some width and early crosses going in. Stockley and Inniss are deadly in the air3

            Few Sunderland comments from twitter
Jones on for Gooch if we want to win, cheers
Performance has actually been ok today. Good players will rise to the pressure and come up with a moment of magic in the pressure games to win you the game. Bad players will make mistakes due to extra pressure. Think we've seen that over past few games.
Except for the we played very well and created a lot of chances
Need to take these fucking chances. Take off gooch and mcfazdean for Hume and Jones please
Cant believe we losing that, mcfadzean and o'Brien off
Fucking shocking lads, would only be Sunderland to dominate and concede
Wyke needs to start stepping up again. Should be ahead.0 -

If we win this I’ll eat my socks (made of crisps)
we look vulnerable on every Sunderland attack
I think we can play better , doesn’t feel like the urgency there should be from a few .

Pratley is having a great game and a terrible game at the same time14

Those calling Stockley lazy can't be serious. Bloke works his socks off every game and is doing a job on O'Nien.12

Surprised at the stockley comments. He literally wins everything and bullys defenders. He doesnt have the build and isnt that type of striker to start chasing down defenders when there is no need to.9

High quality first half, a real and genuine contest.
A long way from a ‘routine’ style game against someone like Northampton or Bristol Rovers.
Sunderland are good and well at it, but Amos has been excellent.
Hope the referee doesn’t ruin what has been a very good game so far.

Good half that. Fast and furious Lived on our nerves a couple of times but overall, happy with that. I’d like to see DJ and Maatsen playing closer to Stockley because he’s winning most of the aerial battles and the knock-ones are going to Sunderland players. All to play for .... C’MON YOU ADDICKS2
 -
Stockley has reduced their defence to having to back off him and hope a flick on lands to them because of the hard work he is doing up top!
That creates so much space and opportunity's for us.4 -
Decent half, two world class saves from Amos. DJ isn’t doing it for me and I don’t like Maatsen out right, leaving Matthews well exposed. Stockley worked really hard, the central defensive triangle of Innis, Pearce and Pratley keeping us strong.Just hope we don’t get too deep and negative 2nd half.3
 -
Season defining game for Sunderland. Anything but a win and the top 2 will probably be off limits for them. They are going to throw everything at us. Need to our chances for a second if we get one1

That’s the thing. He runs himself into the ground every game. He doesn’t press defenders that he knows he won’t get to because it leaves him out of position and pointlessly knackered. Pace isn’t his thing and he knows it. Unfortunately there’s a lot who still subscribe to the old school of thinking that if you’re not chasing down every lost cause pointlessly you’re lazyO-Randy-Hunt said:Surprised at the stockley comments. DJ on the left just doesn't work for me - he just slows everything down. I'd like to see Millar on for him asap.0
 -
We don't have Aneke to bring on so do expect us to do our usual and go into our shell. Time for subs to stake a claim.
Surprised some aren't happy with DJ. I don't see much difference between him and Millar.
For those moaning about Stockley's closing down, it does knock it out of you challenging for every single header. Think of how many 6ft3 forwards you know who close down so efficiently.2 -
            Darren Bent Bent Bent.
One of the great injustices of modern game that he was blatantly passed over for England selection at the World cup.13 -
Just to be a realist, Sunderland could easily have scored 4 in that half. Did we create a chance outside of a set piece?
Don't think we are playing well. Have been a bit lucky, though we've earned some luck this season. Hope NA can sort out the holes at halftime.3 -
No home team in League 1 winning at HT1
 -
Not sure if anyone has picked up on it, yet appears Inniss is known as the Yetti at Sparrows Lane...

I'm a skinny fcker and used to run around like a headless chicken. Someone of stockleys size doing that will be cream crackered by half time. He will leave that to the rest of his team mates.3 -
If DJ was played on the right and Maatsen on the left we would go flying past their full backs.
I know we are 1 up but DJ isn't a winger when he plays on the left, It negates his pace.
So difficult for Stockley playing as a lone striker when he doesn't have a player near to him.
Ben Amos the difference between the teams at the moment. 3 good saves.

He's no battering ram he wins the ball in the air, Chuks is a battering ram. Smashes through the defence.Valley11 said:
