What a sad RIP. 2 things I remember about that. One the sexist add showing a guy stripping off to his boxers. On a Serious note. I can't believe how long ago that was. I did like his song that he had had a hit with after. RIP Nick0

Absolutely an icon of popular culture from the Levi's advert. Through my teens both me and my friends wore little other than black Levi 501's. They were the staple to go with anything. RIP0

An absolute classic ad of its time, that made me go out and buy a pair of 501’s.
I must have been about 12 or 13, I can’t remember , used up all my hard earnt cash from delivering papers, & took them round to the local dry cleaners ( the jeans that is) asked for them to be tapered to as small as they could possibly go, I think it was about 8 at the bottom.
Problem is when I got them home, They were so narrow, I couldn’t get my feet through the bottom of the jeans.

501's have been the only jeans I've worn since I saw that ad.
Unfortunately, it's not had the same effect on the ladies as Nicks did.0 -
Further to my RIP earlier it has hit me hard because that advert from back in the day reminds me of myself... the fat old geezer he sits down next to!4
