One of the finest faux foul free kick winners I have ever seen, let alone play for us. A real trade mark of his and effective. Made me lol many times. Must have wound up the opposition something rotten. A good servant over three seasons and the time was right. Good luck Prats!8

Understand the reasoning behind Darren's departure but will miss his enthusiasm & energy .
Whatever fans thought about his modus operandi, no-one should fault his total commitment to our club.

Sad news but the right decision.
You can see he's a great pro and a top team-mate. Clearly he has the respect of everyone at the club and that says a lot, I think he'll be missed in the dressing room next season.
He really stood up in the Championship season when everything else was crumbling and along with the goal against Donny i'll always have a soft spot for him
On the pitch his hard work, tenacity, leadership and game management have been as important and his passing was annoying but he was top class at what he did.

Will never forget the Doncaster goal, one of my favourite moments in life itself & for that I wish him all the best. He certainly wasn't an over the hill signing stealing a wage that's for sure.

If you're looking for a player say, with a magic wand of a left foot - then perhaps Prats is not your man.
But in the midfield engine room, he did the grunt work that every team needs, knitting the side together.
Sure, he has his limitations but despite his age, still one of the fittest players on the park.
Never underestimate his spirit and determination, a leader with an attitude that carried him all the way to playing in the Premier League.
Huge influence in the dressing room. His managers always valued him, even if some fans thought they knew better.
A truly under rated player by many.

Top man, good player (one of those you'd rather didn't play against you) and I will miss him but like others I feel this is the right decision if we want to push on next season. That goal against Doncaster in the 2nd leg play-off semi final is one of those I will remember for a long time. All the best with your future Darren!1

Played his heart out for the club every time he puled on the shirt, was a leader on and off the pitch.
He was also a much better player than a few fans realised or understood. Football isn't just about hitting 40 yards passes once a game.
For the Donny semi-final and for changing the play-off final alone he deserves great credit.
But all good things come to an end. Only wish him well for the future.

Thanks Prats. I think my memories of his first few games he played I was very underwhelmed but he quickly turned it around and showed he still had something to offer. To still have that much energy and enthusiasm for the game at his age is a huge credit. I feel like he's the exact type of player other players in the team love to play alongside. I feel he came in for an unnecessary amount of stick from some fans especially this season. Good luck with whatever the future holds.2

Bow brought him in to do a job, and for me he did it.OK, age is catching up with him, as were most of our opponent players last season, so it’s prob a good decision on both sides.His performance in the away draw at Fulham was 100% Charlton.Good luck Prats.0

It's shaping up to be a really exciting window for us, first time in ages we look like we have an owner willing to back us. However players like Pratley show that for all the big money or 'glamour' signings you need players like him to make a team. Not all signings have to cost a lot of money, it's nice we hopefully have that option this year to spend some but I still hope we explore the free agent market as well.
Of all the signings we've made over recent years I reckon he was probably one of those I got least excited about, however 3 years later I think it's fair to say I'd consider him one of our best signings in the last few years. Always knew he'd give us all which as a fan is what you ask for.
Wonder what the odds are on him joining Bowyer's coaching staff at Birmingham.7
