  • If true he has lost any shard of dignity he may have still had. Very popular man amongst SE London clubs.

you can see why people get to the stage where they genuinely, and seriously contemplate finding someone who will put both dowie and pards in a back and throw em in the f*cking thames.....

multi, multi millionairs by being total faliures......

I think this has probably been bubbling under for some time. Let the lawyers sort it out between them. I'm sure that Charlton have a pretty robust defence. If he gets anything at all it will be settled out of court and subject to confidentiality agreements so we'll never know the true figure.
  • I'm sure we can find about 28,000 witnesses to Dowie's gross incompetence at Charlton. And another 17,000 at palarse, and 15,000 at Coventry and 12,000 at loftus road ... if it ever gets to court.

Dowie should be very careful. He may not want to full story to come out. Although he need something to do in 10 weeks after he is sacked by Newcastle.

a very strange man. He has been shown in court to be a liar, I am sure he is also suing some of the lawyers involved in the first case over their costs.

maybe he just enjoys the cut and thrust of a court rooms verbal jousting?

I am sure there were some stories that the club were going to cover his legal costs back when all this first started though so there may be something in writing somewhere to give him hope. My personal view is that, whilst the club have said that he was sacked because of things like the jolly jaunt to jarrow, that he was ditched because cafc realised he had been a little but economical with the truth regarding his agreement with orangina.

Wasn't there talk that he had bankrupted himself?

If he's bankrupt then he's nothing to lose. Will probably be using the legal aid system.

Even if he's bankrupt and has no tangible assets, he's just been hired by Newcastle - no doubt on wages most of us can only dream about.

So he won't get Legal Aid.

Maybe now he feels he can- with this income. Either that or he could now be pursued by Jordan so needs to counter claim??

    I dunno-

DOWIE READ MY LIPS... F**K OFF.

why dont clubs speak to other clubs before they employ another person. dont they ask for job references like they do in the real world? Come on there must be one main underlying factor why he keeps getting the boot apart from being shit.

So, 1 million to get shot of Pardew, and potentially 1.5M to Dowie. I hope Les Reed doesn't have a lawyer.

I can see Parkinson staying forever at this rate - if he gets 3 league wins next season he can claim its an improvement and he's unsackable....

Charlton should counter sue, after all he lied to Murray about his availability, and then lied again when he said that he had been telling the truth, and not Jordan.

Talking of the Thames I heard that dowie was given a nice Thames-side apartment as part of the deal with us, which he got to keep after his few months of work with us was done.

Can we get some anti-Dowie T-shirts printed - in red - and then use them as our home kit next season?

Fair play to Les reed- a man who knows the meaning of dignity. Dowie- what a twot. Newcastle must now be certs for relegation, given his previous record! Clever of Shearer though to have appointed a ready made scapegoat for mission impossible.

I think Dowie must have been sold to Newcastle in the same way Parkinsons supporters try and justify him - if they get relegated then he has a lot of experience at the lower level. Bouncebackability indeed....

He's got more class - admitted he wasn't up to it, stepped aside and moved on.

To be fair to Dowie (i dont like saying this) but i think i recall something being said about covering court costs at the time and once statements like that are said then they need to be honoured, That leaves the question to be If the club have said that they will cover costs and that is documented somewhere then who put it in the document and why.

There was supposed to be statements made by the club about the Dowie situation that have never been released this can only be because there is still leagl matters arising and the compromise it may cause. Unless we have been fobbed off.

It wouldnt surprise me if like Pardews 1.5million payoff that someone somewhere put those words in a legally binding document that Dowie has or else why mention it.

The shambolic decision to employ a man who is clearly incapable of managing his own time let alone a football team surely must lead us all to question wether or not said comments were actually made.

I for one think that there is a bloody good chance there may well be a piece of paper signed or documented from a meeting within the club that would back his claim up.

Think about it from the clubs point of view they had just employed a man who they believed had not done the stuff that Slimes was talking about why would they not back their man why wouldnt they offer him their full support to aid him winning the dispute and putting things to bed once and for all.

The best quote to be seen is where will it end because i dont think we will find the answer to that in the near future.

The mistake was not just employing Dowie it was not taking into account the legal crap that was to follow, at the press confrence to announce the fools employment a writ was served are you honestly telling me that noises had not been made prior to that or course they must have,

you dont need any more proof of the shambolic state the club was in behind the scences than that appointment and media debarcle
