Although it was later revealed that the entry in that picture was in fact made by a West Ham fan and the usual press and police bias...2

I'd totally forgotten that my dad signed for Charlton!Henry Irving said:
He kept goal for the army post war, but I suspect signing amateur forms was more in the way of a wedding present, as he was a Charlton fan. Wish I knew where those forms ended up!

Great picture of the covered end with fans on the roof. Or is it Highbury , if it is they had the same railings as The Valley
