NOOOOOOO RUSSELL
Edit... that makes sense actually - PHEW0 -
Thats got to be one of the most surreal, menfal restarts in F1 history!2
-
Shame you can’t overtake on this track0
-
Ricciardo did Hamilton a massive favour there. 👍🏼0
-
Hmm... Can Russell keep Ricciardo and Verstappen behind him?
Well maybe not Verstappen now0 -
Alonso is quality. Frustrating for Hamilton, but fair play to him.2

5 place Grid Penalty for Bottas next race. Seems a bit harsh on first viewing. I felt his brakes just didn’t work properly. Maybe he braked just a bit too late.0

WHAT A RACE FOR WILLIAMS!!!!!!4
-
Brilliant race. The Hamilton/Alonso battle was fantastic.1

Am away so haven’t been able to watch. Sounds like I missed a good one. Decent result for Lewis in the end and great to see RB have another shit race. Ginger Spice must be dreading her old man coming home tonight. Brilliant for Russell.4

At last Russell gets points in a Williams!4

What an absolutely unbelievable race. Love it when we get an unexpected winner.4

Mental race. That restart was bizarre. Bit of a balls up by Mercedes but Red Bull missed a trick too by not just putting Verstappen onto slicks for the restart. Always good to see a new winner.Credit to Vettel for this. All to play for after the summer break.10

I loved Seb's interview with SKY afterwards when he asked what they'd have done in the situation.
Of course they cant really answer that question, but always love the awkwardness that sort of thing creates1 -
Vettel looks to be getting a penalty due to not having 1l of fuel left0

Hamilton looked really unwell on the podium. Drove a great recovery race. Saying he thinks he might have long Covid! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/580504990

Feel for Seb although 7th & 8th for Williams which is great (plus it gives Lewis another 2 point advantage over the spoilt brat from RB)1 -
Never see that kind of penalty happen.
Magically appears when Vettel has protested before a race. Interesting is all.0 -

"It is believed team principal Otmar Szafnauer and technical director Andrew Green said there was 1.44 litres left in the car, but they (The officials) were unable to extract it."
They're appealing.0 -

F1 rules dictate teams must ensure a one-litre sample of fuel can be taken from the car at any time during the event.
1) Hadn't the event finished?
2) Why not take a sample during the red flag?
3) Why not take a sample as the car is filled up?
4) Why didn't they take a sample from Ocon who also stopped his car on the track rather than at parc ferme?0 -

A real shame for Vettel, who’s not only become really likeable this year, but is also looking twice the driver he ever did at Ferrari.
Verstappen, on the other hand, is looking more and more like a sullen, selfish, spoilt brat with his inflammatory and not-even-thinly-veiled “taken out by a Mercedes again” comments. I admire his skill as a driver but he’s quickly becoming the driver I want to lose just because of his childish attitude, not helped by the fact he’s aided and abetted by “arsehole in chief” Christian Horner. Such a shame that these two men, highly skilled in their specific fields, are such a pair of wankers.16
