A point a piece and a solid, if not exciting, clean-sheet performance.
Will we grow into the season?
Over to you.

Very pleased with how solid we looked defensively. Wednesday barely got a sniff until CMG kicked it straight at Bannan when under pressure.
We worked a couple of nice half chances for Albie but he couldn’t find the target with either of them.
Plenty of positives to take from that and more quality to come in the next week (Monday?) so reckon we’re in for a good season under Nigel’s guidance.30 -
Positives: Stockley. Solid defensively?
Negstive: Morgan hasn’t got off to the started we hoped. Looked like a CM/CDM shoehorned in at AM.
Need a LB that can get forward and a LW that can use their left foot so we can stretch sides.Need at least 4 in, preferably 5 or 6.5 -
Disappointed to hear boos at the start when the players took the knee116

Have never enjoyed an opening day less because of all the negativity surrounding literally everything. This site is becoming such a disappointment for me and that is heartbreaking32

Bannan really is a whingey little prick isn’t he? Even when chatting with Jason Euell at the end he looked like he was asking for a free kick.Frigging Albert Steptoe lookalike twat.35

Lacked quality, we don't have the personnel to play the way Adkins prefers....simple really. 4.30am, Im off to bed.2

Everyone on here rates Morgan but I never have....no composure whatsoever....2 glaring chances executed with poor technique.....runs around like a chicken with no head...
compare him to a proper #10 in Bannon ...we need an upgrade there10 -

Need reinforcements without doubt. Pleased with how we upped the tempo second half4

Pony 1st half. Much better 2nd half and the most likely to nick it.
Overall a fair result.5 -
Defensively a very solid result. Obviously still need some depth for when (not if) Innis or Famewo get injured.
Considering the chances we had, the fact we've come away from that game with zero shots on target is very disappointing.
Need a lot more quality offensively, and full-backs willing to help out down the wings too.7 -
I was really concerned we would be overrun. I was reading what a solid team SW had, the players they had brought in, the champ quality players they still have. We were better than them. A solid start.
Now look forward to the people that thought we wouldn't be able to complete explain to us how we should have beaten them.22 -

Well, a very tight (and very average) first half which was shaded by Wednesday - but then in the 2nd we looked like the only team in it to me.
No idea what Wednesday level will be, but they look like they will be no mugs, and we completely nullified them pretty much.
Didn't see enough of Clare, but boy, does Dobson look like a good player.
My one big take away from this match is that unsurprisingly we 100000000% need attacking reinforcements - and sooner rather than later - but so far under Adkins we look like a very difficult team to beat.

The spine is sorted. From MacGilvray to Famewo and Inniss at CB to Dobson and Clare in the middle to Stockley up top. Once a team has that it's all about filling the gaps and taking TS at his pre match word, I'm sure we will.3

We passed the ball a lot better in the second half and got in some good positions, but there was a real lack of quality. I never felt like we'd score, even when we were breaking or in their box. We lack that Shinnie-style player who has the composure to play a nicely weighted pass or curl one in the net. Morgan just panics.
I said I'd like new full-backs for the season and the game today reinforced that.
I think we have a much better spine in the middle than last season. We are more mobile and tenacious, and I thank the high heavens I didn't have to sit and watch Pratley/Watson chasing Bannon's shadow for 90 minutes.
Not a bad game all in all. We need those additions and they need to improve us, not be squad players.8 -
Expected a loss tbh so happy with a point. Stockley, Clare and DJ all did very well.3
-
Based on the personnel we currently have that’s a great result. As expected defensively looking solid - Kirk on Monday please followed by another 3 or 4 top (by league one standard) attacking players and we can look to kick on.3

Nothing we didn’t already know to be honest. We look reasonably solid but we lack attacking threat and depth to the team.No threat from the full backs. Not enough creativity through the middle
Washington isn’t a left winger
Nothing on the bench to make a real impact
We’re 6 players short and 3 need to improve our first 11.12 -
Can’t say I noticed Bannon being more impressive than Morgan. Yes, two poor shots but several excellent crosses.Lots of room for improvement but a solid defence, completely untroubled.Liked Stockley and Clare. DJ clearly has his good and bad moments, but is promising. Do we really need to point out it’s a marathon not a sprint?
Really just need some posters to tell us we need some signings, as I don’t think it would have occurred to the management team.22 -

It was a dire game but a few positives to take and something to build on. Team looks decent enough, just need to fill the squad and should be ok. Midfield three all looked ok and I feel could become a decent unit. Defence solid and Stockley immense.
I think we are in a tricky situation up top. Stockley is so important you have to be concerned about his cover if he were to be out. But then attracting someone to come and play back up isn't going to be easy.0 -
League one game. Very route one. Not terrible but not great. Hope we make some signings as we need to if we have any intention of realistically challenging for promotion.

Cagey and stop start. Conditions not great but positives are a point and clean sheet. Stockley I thought was mom and deservedly so. Need to strengthen the squad to challenge this season. I thought we edged it but draw fair result1
-
Better second half. Solid enough in defence. New signings looked good.
Just can’t see where the goals are coming from unfortunately. Can’t keep playing everyone for 90 minutes. Need a bench you can trust.
SW were for the taking.3 -
Not enough goals in the team. Other than that, defence was solid and we edged the game. Terrible watch that it was. Still early but I have said about Morgan, I am not digging him out because he missed a couple of half chances today, it is just he misses them all the time, one after another. It is either a lack of confidence or composure or both but we need to inject some goals in that side somewhere.2
