    That shirt annoys me.
Who in the hell calls them Harvey and Floyd?
The drawings are all wrong. Floyd used to have proper jowls, now it looks like he's got a droopy sheriff's moustache.  This is how you draw Floyd:

I’ve seen loads of people actually campaign for this to happen, and the fact that the club has taken the fans’ opinions into account makes me so happy

No issue with the new look mascots, not sure they needed refreshing but my kids will like them both.

Looking at the new mascots when compared to the originals, the original Harvey was actually a bit rubbish. A very poor cat face really. The old Floyd was better though

What is the significance of the black bandage on Floyd's left leg? Did they run out of material? I'd have put one on the right too or is that too OCD? Good to see the robin and knight gone. They are a symbol of the bad days.

I think he got injured in the warm up Muttley, he’s out for 6 weeks.

Tribute to every injury crisis we’ve had past, present and future.
  • The cat is an improvement.
The original Floyd has a much warmer face, this one's facial expression suggests he's just been goosed

Harvey is better, but Floyd looks just as startled as the old robin.

Always wanted to be a mascot for a laugh, do they get paid?
Don't know about the regular guys but when we were ball boys years ago I was Floyd for a match and @Jack_Charlton was as well and it was just of helping out to make sure they were there for the kids

    From Sandgaard:

“Fans are why we brought back the much-loved mascots, Floyd and Harvey. And following consultation with our Youth Advisory Group, their return to the Valley on Saturday was an obvious and easy decision. They were deeply missed and needed to come home“

surely kids would have outgrown Floyd and Harvey during their absence?

seems like a load of adults missed them as I'm sure there would have been plenty of children who were fans of the Robin and the Knight.

Not if their parents have brought them up correctly.
  • Maybe controversial but what's the significance of a cat and dog and why is better than a knight and robin?

Floyd and Harvey are a link back to by far our most successful period in recent history.

They bring us great memories like the time Powell jumped out of the tunnel wearing Floyd’s head (ok, maybe that’s the only one!).

They were then removed by the evil Katrien because one afternoon she was thinking up stuff to add to her list of achievements ahead of her yearly catch up with Roland.

“Modernising the mascots” was probably on the list between “house music in the fans bar” and “the sex on the pitch advert”.

To be fair the concept of a kids competition to design a new mascot and have it created was not in itself a bad idea.

Execution and the wider context are different issues of course.

The knight and robin might not have been so bad if the outfits didn't look like they came from Poundland , especially the knight with his plastic shield and sword.

To be fair, health and safety might have objected if he carried a real sword  :D

    Poundland!  We was robbed.

As a nation we are not good at this are we?

Anyway. What's wrong with a geezer walking around with an Addick nailed to a stick?

The vision panel for both of the mascots is in the mouth. The mouth needs to be wide open so they can see out.
