Moore is a bit of a late developer, a lower division striker who's got better each year1 -

They sold Varane and Odegaard which brought in around €75m and Ramos is off the wage bill. Also apparently last season they didn't pay a fee for any new signings and made a profit of around €100m on transfers, so they have money.ValleyGary said:

But even so it's still absolutely crazy to spend €160m on a player who by all accounts wants to sign for you and only you, and you can get him for free next summer.
Surely would make more sense to wait and a) sign him next year and b) use the 160m instead for a transfer/agent/wage package to also sign Haaland next year.1 -
