Car question - advice gratefully received

cheers @Rob7Lee will check the service history, I purchased the car in Dec 2019. Never had it serviced at Hyundai, but do use an approved garage and always pay for the top (platinum?) service.

Hmmm, that's the danger of not going to main dealers (or independent specialists) for servicing, your average garage will just follow the standard schedule of oil, filter's etc and often don't look at what the actual maintenance for a particular make and model are and what else needs doing and under what timescales.

How much of this is shown on your receipts/paperwork!! (this is just up to 45k/3 years there's a lot more!)

I'd check with your dealer who carried out their 'premium' service and ask the question if those two key service items were carried out and at what mileage @Elthamaddick. Because if they didn't, there could be some liability.

In all honesty if you are going to a garage that quotes Silver, Gold, Platinum, Premium etc then walk away, it's just fancy talk to extract more money from you. All you want to know is do they follow the manufacturers servicing schedule, that's not just time, but what work is carried out and what parts do they use. 

My non specialist cars I have taken to the same garage for over 15 years, they will look up via their system what is the manufacturers schedule and work on that basis, whatever the make and model. In addition all of those that simply quote major and minor (including Halfords) are not following the manufacturers schedule.
