@Elthamaddick - Just looked it up, the fluid should have been changed at 40k/4 years. Or in severe conditions (whatever they are) every 8,000 miles. See if it was ever done.
Therefore if you always had it serviced at Hyundai and they didn't change it, should be a straightforward they should repair it!0 -
cheers @Rob7Lee will check the service history, I purchased the car in Dec 2019. Never had it serviced at Hyundai, but do use an approved garage and always pay for the top (platinum?) service.
having checked there's no mention of it being done

Benefit of using main Hyundai dealer for service is they plug their computer into the car to check it and that everything needed is done. They also check on recall work notices. Other dealers sometimes use the system but not always.0

How much of this is shown on your receipts/paperwork!! (this is just up to 45k/3 years there's a lot more!)

Good info @Rob7Lee.
I'd check with your dealer who carried out their 'premium' service and ask the question if those two key service items were carried out and at what mileage @Elthamaddick. Because if they didn't, there could be some liability.1 -

My non specialist cars I have taken to the same garage for over 15 years, they will look up via their system what is the manufacturers schedule and work on that basis, whatever the make and model. In addition all of those that simply quote major and minor (including Halfords) are not following the manufacturers schedule.0
