We should give Ghandour a run out in the first team if we are winning by a couple of goals with a few mins to go, need to tap into that lucrative Lebanese market!

Reminded of Davison a bit when he played against Leyton Orient in the EFL Trophy

Thought he had an alright performance, wasnt put off by the physicality side of the game

For anyone else mystified by the references here, Hady has been with us since August,

He was also here for a couple of months last season, while we had a good look at him.

Must have liked what we saw, because he signed a 1 year contract in August.

This explains why the CAFC instagram has been flooded with Lebanese flag comments recently..
  • Saw he was on the bench tonight for Lebanon.

Anyone know if he got on and what the result was?

He was an unused substitute. Hopefully gets on when they play South Korea in a few days time.

    Sauroncester.
  • Made his debut for Lebanon tonight in the 85th minute.

They lost 1-0 in South Korea, but were already losing before he came off the bench.
  • It does seem strange that a 21 year old can make their international debut before kicking a ball at any level in our, for that matter, any other country's Football League

No disrespect to Lebanon but shows the level of a lot of National Teams

And they're in the top 10 of Asian teams as things stand with World Cup Qualification

Was it Neil Etheridge who had made about 50 odd appearances for the Philippines before he had made any sort of substantial appearances at club level?

That is pretty amazing though, as a keeper, he's less likely to be given an opportunity - there's only one position per club available and an outfielder still has the chance of coming on as a sub which a keeper doesn't bar injury to the number one

Charlie Wright was capped by Hong Kong.
Not a lot of people know that.

Dylan Levitt must've done the same for Wales? i think at one point he had 10 caps but about 8 clubs appearances.

Difference is that Levitt is at a top PL club and not one playing in the 3rd tier so, by definition, his chances are going to be more limited. Levitt is also almost a year younger than Ghandour who will be 22 in January

The Welsh goalie from the euros has not played a league game for four years

Indeed - bench warming for Leics. He's never going to get a game in front of Schmechel in the PL

Does this affect our International break postponements?

If Arter is injured we now only have Gunter and Washington. Therefore, we might need to play at Burton.

I'd rather we did play. The International break never seems to do us any favours.
