MacG: 7 - didn’t really have much to do, but was strong going for balls in the box. I like him a lot.
Matthews: 9 - A mercurial performance, aggressive in & out of possession.
Lavelle: 7 - did ok till he went off
Pearce: 8 - Captain’s performance as expected in a game like this
Famewo: 8 - Similar to Pearce, strong in the air, bit ropey in possession, but there’s a player in there that can be developed.
Purrington: 8 - I don’t rate him, but he was excellent today, should’ve scored, but besides going Timo Werner at the back post, was very very good.
Dobson: 9 - He’s excellent, does all the leg work, grafts, gets stuck in, keeps the ball moving, Watson with legs.
Gilbey: 7.5 - Ran all day long, his athleticism is such a plus in the midfield
Leko: 10 - MOM for me again, had their full back on toast all game long. A truly class player & would do anything to keep him forever.
Lee: 7.5 - Pops up in good positions, always looks forward with the ball, we’re a better team with him in there.
Stockley: 8 - Scored a great goal, defended well, if JJ’s going to use the big striker in this role, i’d rather Davison as he’s more mobile, but can’t complain.
Washington: 9 - I think he’s still running now, his work ethic was so vital today, just a shame he’s technically not great & supremely 1 footed
Referee: 7 - Consistent most the game, bit nitty gritty, but kept control of them game.

Dobson: 9 did the dirty work so well, always covering the back 3 which we’ve really missed
Gilbey: 7.5 arguably less effective than against Accrington strangely
Leko: 8.5 terrorised them on the flanks and had to be doubled up on, made the wrong (greedy?) choice at times
Lee: 7.5 sometimes great but faded and needed to be subbed
Stockley: 7.5 scored but looked a bit whiney apart from that
Washington: 8 runs his bollocks off but never looks like scoring
Referee: 8 actually liked that he let a lot go, although he probably should have given stockley at least one extra free kick
