I said it in the first game and Watson has mentioned it today - Starc looks like he's just turning his arm over.
And as I typed this Starc, having been hit for a maximum, bowls a 90mph yorker. Perhaps that's what it took to get him angry enough to bend his back!0 -
So at 94-5 we are now in that period of consolidation that will probably stop SL from posting a score of 160 plus0
-
Zampa's figures are ridiculous (4-0-12-2) given the start the SL enjoyed. Yes the pitch does help him but you still have to put the ball in the right place and have the variations to match
0 -
The 4 overs bowled by the Aussies 5th bowler(s), Maxwell and Stoinis, went for 51 or an ER of 12.75
0 -
154-6 off 20 which SL might be slightly disappointed with given that they were 53-1 at the end of the PP. Something to bowl at though.0
-
Hope it gets him out saying it but Finch looks in rather good touch. To charge someone at 92mph and hit them straight down the ground isn't something you see everyday0
-
This will absolutely jinx the whole tournament but England are lightyears ahead of these 2 sides0
-
Oh my word how bad was that from Kusal Perera!!!!0
-
Oh dear!0
-
One of the worst drops you'll ever see0

On this performance to date Australia are miles ahead of SL. They are a 5th bowler short when Maxwell and Stoinis are targeted successfully but it is somewhat of a worry that Finch and Warner are both finding some form now. With Marsh, Smith, Maxwell, Stoinis and Wade to follow they have a hell of a lot of power. And the likes of Smith and Maxwell have the advantage of having batted on these surfaces in the IPL.0 -
63-0 in the PP vs SLs 53-1
SL have simply failed to execute their plans and have bowled too full and then over compensated for doing that0 -
To be fair Warner and Finch are being served pies3
-
Dont worry about warner, he cant play England so will be out before double figuresAddick Addict said:Pelling1993 said:This will absolutely jinx the whole tournament but England are lightyears ahead of these 2 sides

I think they were in total control 75-1 around 9 overs then 4 wickets and 20 runs in 5 overs slowed it down. Aussies are batting well, but getting a few gifts, not overly worried by either. Was slightly the start of Sri Lanka's inningsAddick Addict said:63-0 in the PP vs SLs 53-1

Australia win by 7 wickets in exactly 17 overs

Have you borrowed the England captain/coach cliché book after a disappointing defeatAddick Addict said:63-0 in the PP vs SLs 53-1

Upon reflection I think SL did execute their plans - they were just the wrong plans!killerandflash said:

Bangladesh have won the toss and have asked the Windies to bat. This might just be the first Super 12s game to buck the trend providing the Windies can hit enough 4s and 6s on the way to a decent score.0
-
Really can't believe that the Windies have dropped Simmons following his 16 off 35 balls in the game against South Africa. Chase replaces him and Holder comes in too. Seriously, how can Holder have been left out in the two previous games? Hadn't realised he wasn't even in the original squad!0

There's nothing like seeing Chris Gayle taking a quick single and turning ones in to twos0
-
LOL and then he tries to take a quick single too!!!!Addick Addict said:There's nothing like seeing Chris Gayle taking a quick single and turning ones in to twos0 -
Really do not understand what the Windies are doing here. Treating the PP as a batsman training for a Test match and still manage to lose a couple of wickets in the process0
-
Poor PP: 29-20
-
West Indies are in real trouble. So so reliant on aging players
Gayle - 42
DJ Bravo - 38
Pollard - 34
Rampaul - 37
Russell - 330 -
Awful T20 wicket.1
-
When was last time Gayle had an innings of note ?
