Lavelle is going to keep Inniss out of the team.6

I wonder how long term Lavelle's long term injury is?
Is that the entire season done with?0 -
Oops.....now amended 😄.Callumcafc said:golfaddick said:
I'd have Innis in the team over Pearce every day & twice on a Sunday. Pearce has the tendency to give away cheap fouls & even pens. Innis is also a threat at corners & quicker than Pearce.FishCostaFortune said:Interestingly you have to wonder when/if all our defenders are fully fit if Inniss would get himself back into the first XI.Say we continue with a back 3:
Famewo would definitely be the left sided centre back in that formation. But would you drop Pearce to put Inniss in that central role - you would argue that Pearce is making himself undropable on current performances.
Then would you have Lavelle or Inniss as the right sided centre back. On this I would argue I’ve liked having the ball carrying abilities of Matthew’s/Gunter/Clare in that position and would perhaps sacrifice added defensive solidness to be able to drive the ball out the back/have more pace.
But obviously if we don’t play either of them we miss out on their aerial threat in both boxes.
All very interesting. Time to get football manager loaded up.
A no brainer for me.
However, if Deji breaks through then hard not to play Famewo, Deji & Ellewere.Deji is so good, it’s like having two players on the pitch!0 -
What was it, a quad tear?mendonca said:I wonder how long term Lavelle's long term injury is?

He tore a muscle in his groin region. Number of muscles it could be one of the hip flexor group would be my guess.ElliotCAFC said:

4-6 months for it to repair, but then you have rebuilding fitness and flexibility... Could be his season done, but the good news is that the surgery went well.

Johnnie Jackson has revealed he and owner Thomas Sandgaard are ‘optimistic about the future’ having shared wholly positive conversations this week.

Fascinating. Not only do we lose 2 players to international football, but also a key coach.clive said:
I expect Jacko to go and sign 3 San Marino internationals in January to make sure we get the next international window off!0 -

But not his own players, only the opposition managers! Lowey and SchueyDOUCHER said:starting to sound like a manager - shortening names and putting a y at the end - its in the contract !!!
Surely he should also be using it for our players too, i.e. Matthy, Inny, Lavy and er Corey

well, he hasn't got the problem robbo had with solly who already hada short name witha y at the end - i think thats the real reason him and bowyer fell out - sols was ok but it was ruining the consistency0

Jackson needs to get his best possible defence out on N Y day .. the Chairboys form has slipped a wee bit recently but they remain a very good outfit .. I hope that the overlong lay off hasn't taken the edge off our sharpness, especially in midfield1
-
well that sounds a bit more positive about Stockley5
-
No that cant be right. I inferred various other threads have concluded both our strikers are a write off for this season and only 2 high scoring strikers are the acceptable outcome from this transfer window.DOUCHER said:well that sounds a bit more positive about Stockley

Interesting he talks about freshness. I know there’s an argument his options are a bit limited, but one minor criticism I have of Jackson is he’s been a bit reluctant to use his subs. I think in most of our recent matches the midfield three have faded a bit as games have gone in and we haven’t often been able finish matches strongly. He has, however, hardly used Morgan, Watson and Kirk. I’m an ideal world he’d have better subs available to him but he maybe needs to use what he has available a little more readily.1

Bringing Kirk on Sunday was the final kiss of death, just after the previous one, Gunter.Exiled_Addick said:Interesting he talks about freshness.
