    RIP John. Didn't see my namesake play for us but saw him play a few times against us. I seem to remember meeting him and getting his autograph when he opened a petrol station in Footscray.

    RIP John ... I have a memory (possibly false) of him jumping and catching the ball away at Orient with the resulting penalty
