What a great album ... a pity St Etienne never did anything so remotely essential again.

    Cor, that's a memory. Had it on tape many years ago, never replaced it. Contains the only pop song in the world to namecheck Plumstead Common as well.

    He is not a Charlton fan, he supports Leatherhead or Whyteleaf - someone like that, a non-league Surrey team at any rate.

    Saint Etienne are up there with the Jesus & Mary Chain, The Wedding Present & Teenage Fanclub as bands i have seen play the most times - seen 'em well over a dozen times i guess.........
