All the best for a full and speedy recovery, Billy. Let’s hope three points today can help you along the way.
Post match edit - unfortunately second half of this post did not age well.0 -

Really hope he wasn't watching the stream today as suggested, as the recurrence of the "losing the match in injury time" phenomenon won't have helped.

Just seen this. Absolutely think the world of him. Not just because we agree on many things, but because he seems like a thoroughly decent, considerate, and thoughtful human being. Someone whose posts I always read, no matter the subject. Just hope he's doing alright. Sending him and his family lots of love and light.

Get well soon matey. The Pizza cup needs all of the dedicated fans that it can muster. Follow that merriment with the mighty Gateshead.0

Had a few battles with Cordy over the years on the HoC threads and this is one battle I hope he pulls through and wins.

Quite a long update from Billy's wife today including his request for a cup of tea (which he evidently isn't allowed yet). The really good news is that his memory seems unimpaired and if he continues to improve he will be moved out of the ICU in a day or so. I suspect that no-one has yet told him the Shrews result and I think we should perhaps refrain from the obvious rejoinder at least for a bit longer!!!58

Cracking news for Billy and all his loved ones.
Onwards and upwards.0 -
my wife had a similar condition about 15 years ago, it was touch and go for a while but she had made a great recovery. We both wish Billy and his family all the best and my Lass can confirm that there is a way back from this.

Seems like a lot of effort to go to just to get a personalised video message from Jacko.

Latest update (Monday afternoon) continued the very positive tone. He is starting to move arms and legs again and the medical staff are having to discourage him from getting out of bed too often to try it! Helen says that sometimes in talking he becomes a bit delirious but the doctors say this is normal in the recovery stage.
Also the absolutely diamond Tracey Leaburn got in touch and as a result the equally diamond Gaffer has sent Billy a video message. I got it up on Twitter last night, will post it as soon as I am on my desktop. If you are following the Dossier Twitter you will see it.31 -
